About TNTOtago
I am a part of the Otago branch of The Naked Truth (TNT), a group originally started by German backpackers in mid-2015. We don't refer to ourselves as a nudist club, but rather a family that shares a common belief in the fact that to be naked is to be natural, and that to be naked is the closest thing to natural that still truly exists in modern society today. We are probably more vocal in our opposition to the negative views often associated with nudism, and have a younger average membership than the classic nudist organisations in New Zealand. We do not have the financial resources or assets that a lot of the traditional establishments have, which is why our gatherings are often held at private residences of our members, or in isolated community spaces such as wooded area or hidden coves etc along beaches whilst on our camping trips. We will be attempting to raise funds to keep the group active, and may charge a joining fee in future. This will help ensure we are attracting those who are truly committed.rnrnMost of our original membership has left, as this was a group started by German and other backpackers visiting the Otago region in mid-2015. Many have since returned home. What remains of the group is doing our best to attract NZ citizens, so we have a permanent presence and can reduce the risk of becoming defunct.
