About River_folks
Why is our username 'river_folks,' you ask? Simple -- we live near a large river -- the Hudson.
We're here to connect with old friends and make new friends who share many of our interests in addition to nudism. As important as nudism is, we believe there's more to life than taking your clothes off!
We only accept friend requests from real nudists who have chatted with or messaged us. We tend to prefer friendships with other couples in our age group, but we are not totally opposed to befriending others.
If you're a single guy, we'll accept your friend request only if we share more interests than nudity.
Also, if you don't have any photos on your profile, we probably won't accept your request. Anonymity is a turn-off.
We believe in the physical and psychological benefits of nudism and like to live without clothes whenever we're able.

Who I'd like to meet
We'd like to meet other nudist couples. We are NUDE, not RUDE, CRUDE, or LEWD. We will not chat with people who don't understand the difference.
My Interests
We both enjoy good, healthful food and love to get creative in the kitchen. Karen is a bona-fide gym rat who loves to read while on the treadmill to get in her 5 miles/day: Fitbit) and also does strength training 2-3 times per week, except during tax season. If you want to know more about Karen, she now has a separate TN acct "NakedReader" which she created so that we both could log into chat at the same time. Check out her profile there.Jim always has a few creative projects under way -- if not his blog, then a painting or a new book he's writing . We enjoy many different cuisines -- especially Italian, Chinese, Mexican, and our favorite, Ethiopian (which unfortunately is not in our area). We are blessed to live in a city that has a wealth of great family-owned restaurants. We're not big fans of restaurants chains. We love to travel and are always on the look out for our next adventure, be it big or small. We like to visit art galleries, museums, antiquarian book stores, and nudist resorts. You might find us hanging out (clothed) at our local library, restaurant, or coffee shop. Our nearest nudist resort closed a couple years ago and we mourn the loss, but we are open to meeting other nudists in various venues -- our home, their home, while first meeting over a cup of coffee or lunch to get acquainted.
Movies
Presently, Jim's favorite movie is The Illusionist. He's a big fan of the TCM channel and Terry Gilliam's movies. Karen loves "Midnight in Paris" and is a big fan of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" series. We've seen so many great movies -- and some real duds, too. We like watching documentaries on a variety of subjects. Not fans of movies that are of the "action" genre.
Music
Classical music (especially guitar), folk, classic rock - not into the new stuff so much, but definitely blues, some jazz and even some country. Not fans of easy listening elevator music or rap -- can't understand half of what's said in rap and definitely turned off by offensive language.
My Heroes
We admire people who have been and are continuing to be involved in creative pursuits -- people who think for themselves who "march to a different drummer" and anyone who challenges bigotry and stands up for human rights even when they know they'll be criticized -- specifically, those who have courageously put their lives on the line for speaking truth to power. Pete Seeger was an awesome example. He gave selflessly to support civil rights, cleaning up the Hudson River, supporting labor unions, and anything else he believed in which he supported with energy, grace, and compassion. A talented musician and songwriter, he is definitely missed here in the Hudson Valley and by all those whose lives he touched.
