About Folklover
I'm a long-time naturist (card-carrying and everything) but that doesn't define me ... it's just one aspect of my life. I also have a keen interest in history, travelling and enjoy live music and theatre of all descriptions although folk music is my favourite genre. Have you been to any folk festivals lately or discovered a new artist I should know about?
Early 2024 I spent a couple of weeks in Ireland and even joined Irish Naturists at two of their swims so if you are in the area reach out and meet some great folks. Later in the year I'm going to the FCN festival near Edmonton and and next year it will be a week in Fuerteventura followed by .... I'm not sure yet. I'm leaning toward Morrocco for a few weeks but you know how these things go. LOL. I have plenty of time to hone my ideas before April rolls around. Have you been?

Who I'd like to meet
I enjoy chatting with new people so drop me a line and if we are ever at the same club or swim it would be nice to meet for lunch or a trip to the beach. Talking about folk music or travelling is a good way to catch my interest! I won't accept blind friend requests so let's please exchange some messages first.
My Interests
Budget travel, backpacking, folk festivals, bonfires, live theatre, cats, potluck dinners, reading, learning, live concerts, naturist festivals.
Movies
I like stories that have strong acting and a plot rather than just relying on special effects. Some of my favourites are The Lives of Others, Bridge of Spies, The Big Short, Persepolis, Spotlight, Schindler's List, Gosford Park, The King's Speech, Sin Nombre, Shawshank Redemption. I spend far more time watching television rather than movies and have a soft spot for Scandinavian crime dramas but have some favourite British shows as well. What's your favourite?
Music
Folk music, of course. :-) Favourites include: The Young'uns, Show of Hands, Tom Russell, Stan Rogers, Loreena McKennitt, Teresa Doyle, Stephen Fearing, Poor Angus, Silly Wizard, David Ross Macdonald, Tanglefoot, Archie Fisher, Peggy Seeger, Tom Lewis, John Wort Hannam, Garnet Rogers, James Keelaghan, Eric Bogle, Barra MacNeils, Des Temps Antan, Anne and Pete Sibley, Small Glories, Leaf Rapids and the Dead South. I try to make at least a couple of folk festivals each year I think I'll make it to two festivals in 2024. Hopefully I'll discover some new favourites.
