- 15 days with no power since the big wind storm, all the downed trees are cleaned up and the power poles and wires replaced so just waiting for hydro...

- Day 15 with no power since the wind storm, just finished clearing all the downed trees and rebuilding electrical service replacing power pole and hydro lines. Waiting now for hydro to return and reconnect the lines. Sure glad we have a wood fired sauna to keep things hot.
- Day 12 with no power after the big storm, just got new power pole and lines finished today so now Need to call it in for hydro to reconnect, hope that doesnt take too long.

- Well the south coast of British Columbia just got hit with a major wind storm, haven't seen wind like this in a dozen years. Power outages to hundreds of thousands people, my hydro lines were ripped right out of the house and power poles snapped off, I expect I will be without power for at least a week to 10 days. We are likely some of the lucky few, we have a back up generator that will keep our freezers cold and the coffee pot on (we have a wood stove to keep some heat in the house)
