Lagos, PortugalAbout Praia Dos Pinheiros
Located in the scenic region of Lagos, Praia dos Pinheiros stands out as a serene haven for enthusiasts of naturism. Known for its discreet charm and relatively secluded position, this beach offers a tranquil escape for those seeking to connect with nature in its purest form. As a recognized nude beach, Praia dos Pinheiros welcomes visitors who adhere to the principles of naturism, promoting a clothing-optional environment.
The beach is accessible via a somewhat steep path, which ensures its privacy and preserves its untouched beauty. While amenities are minimal, this only enhances the natural experience, encouraging a closer bond with the environment. It's important for visitors to plan accordingly, as the beach does not offer the commercial facilities found at more conventional tourist beaches.
Praia dos Pinheiros does not only cater to the present-day naturist. Its history is rich with cultural significance, having been a site of natural beauty and local folklore for generations. The legal status of nudity here is compliant with regional norms, making it a safe space for FKK (Freikörperkultur) adherents to enjoy without concern.
For those who cherish privacy and the natural world, Praia dos Pinheiros provides an idyllic setting. This beach remains a jewel within the Algarve coast, celebrated by those who favor a naturist lifestyle.
Embrace the serene, untouched landscape of Praia dos Pinheiros, where the spirit of naturism is alive and thriving.
Praia Dos Pinheiros Directions
From Lagos head south along the road along the clifftop. Turn left when you come to a short road that leads to Restaurant O Camilo. (You can park at the end if you're in a car). Just before the recycling bins at the end of the road, take a track to the right that leads southward. Go past a little house and about the same distance again. Where the track turns sharp right, head south into a little hollow with some trees. Bear left and you'll find some stairs formed by planks cut into the cliffs. The beach is at the bottom.
As of 2015 the steps in the soft sandstone are badly worn away, making access precarious, but still possible. Good fun, but check the tide tables. You also get a lot of small tourist sight-seeing boats out of Lagos pass the end of the beach having a good ogle! :-)
