Philip Edward Island Directions

North Shore of Lake Huron's Georgian Bay about three hours north of Toronto. The GPS coordinates are for the island, not for any specific point on it. It's big. You will need some kind of watercraft to access it. Access is probably easiest from the Chikanishing river trail parking lot, if you are paddling. You will need a permit to park there, because that is still part of Killarney Provincial Park. Philip Edward Island itself is NOT part of the park. It might be Crown land, but I am not sure. And please use common sense, it can be quite windy there. The Killarney Park office usually puts a warning sign up when there is a small craft warning, and you have to go there anyway for a permit.
