Het Twiske Directions

Het Twiske is signed from the A8 (exit 1) and A10, Ring Amsterdam (exit 18). Follow the signs. After you enter the recreation area (through parking toll gates), turn left and continue north following the signs to the beaches (stranden) and eventually nude beach (naturistenstrand).At the end of the road there is a parking area (P15). Directly west (a little bit back where you came from) the naturist island is connected by a short walkway across the water. The entire island across this walkway is a naturist zone.For locals: beware that in 2012 the location of the nudist area moved one beach south. It used to be the Wezenlandenstrand, now it is Baaiegatstrand.By bicycle: Het Twiske is signed from the ferry terminal at Buiksloterweg, directly across the IJ behind Amsterdam Central Station. Follow the signs, cycle along the water, through Amsterdam-Noord, passing the town of Landsmeer. When you enter the recreation area, turn left (toward the wind mill) and keep following the dyke and canal that encircle the area. Keep following until you see the last parking area on your right side. Turn off the main bike path to cross the parking area and find the nude beach. From Amsterdam Central it is about 11 km by bike.
