Although it is located in the Mediterranean area, sub-tropical climate is also present on the island. It is decorated with a unique eco-system and breathless sunsets.The hotel complex Ada Bojana is located in the western part of the island, and the low houses have not jeopardized the authentic atmosphere. In the background of the hotel complex one can find the same nature as it had been even before 1973 when this nudist oasis was built. Once it was only possible to reach the island by a ferry, and since 1987 Ada has been connected to the shore by a bridge.Far from the street noise and the city buzz, being surrounded by clean natural beauty, the blueness of the Adriatic horizon, decorated by the Mediterranean growth, Ada is a place which every visitor falls in love with at first coming. The island forms a triangle of 5.4 sq km. Its two sides are washed by the river Bojana , and the third is dashed against the sea. Adas shores are not final, but they have been altering from year to year with constant moving of the shores and borders, with new backwaters and a new look of the beach. For a long time Ada Bojana has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in Montenegro, and one of the best advantages of this summer resort is the 2880-m-long sandy beach.The island was formed in a very unsusual way. According to some legends, in the 19th century in the vicinity of two sandbars, on the mouth of the river Bojana, the ship Merito got stranded. Since the ship owners had not been able to come to an agreement how to pull out the ship from the seas hug, the ship remained captured for good. The river began covering the wreck by sand and thus an island was formed, for which we can say that it was a product of both the nature and the humans. Along the river Bojana one can notice a series of authentic fishermen cottages and attractive restaurants where traditionallly caught fish is served.Nobody can feel indiferent when it comes to Ada Bojana, and it is necessary to experience and try Ada personally. You can feel here as if you were alone on the planet, and when you wish so, you can meet very interesting and pleasant people all on the same place. In any case, the hotel stuff will show their hospitality by their kindness, such hospitality which cannot be found anywhere, and it is our recommendation to pay for 15 days, since after the tenth day spent on Ada, you will be sad because you have to go.
