Ride to the nude beach
Return to DiscussionsI've been staying at Trinity Beach for a few days, getting an Uber to the beach, but they don't seem to re-appear at the end of the day. Had to walk along the highway and in parts the road edge / shoulder is very narrow. Walked to the first bus stop in Palm Cove. A guy I met at the beach (a local) said he used to ride his bike but was a little scared so has stopped. I tried to avoid hiring a car and then there were none available so Uber and walking were the options.
Looks a great quiet beach, but I guess that's the trade-off for the restricted accessibility. I've stayed in Port Douglas a few times and it feels like Bourke Street for much of the day. If you don't want to rent a car just to travel less than 10 km a day, compromises are needed!
