W.E.N. - WORK EXCHANGE IN NUDE
No doubt, everyone is affected by the economic crisis. The main problem with our economy is that we emphasize too much on money and not on work itself. It seems like: no money no honey. That's wrong. Wall-Street teaches us to grow money without working. And now the money is gone or at least gone from our sight / bank account. But remember, we actually have never seen the total money we own...

Return to DiscussionsI dont see many posting introductions, so here goes: I'm 35 yr old female, located in Southeastern Michigan
To offer in terms of work:
Sewing - blankets, curtains,dog beds & toys, small animal supplies (ferret hammocks&the like), also kids clothing(small scale, nothing terribly fancy) You would need to provide the materials, and possibly a pattern (they go on sale at JoAnn every month)
Jewelry - beaded bracelets, necklaces, earrings. Awareness Jewelry. Custom photo trinkets (charm bracelets, key chains, etc) I would provide most, if not all, materials.
House Cleaning - just as it sounds. Deep clean entire house or just assigned chores. I wont do dishes, but I will clean up after myself if you ask me to cook. Must be between Flint, Port Huron, Detroit areas. Anything further would require gas milage. (sorry, but simply cant afford to travel any further than that) I have all cleaning supplies except vacuum (kinda hard to travel with one)
What I'd need from others:
Appliance repair (currently a broken washing machine, but in future, you never know what may need repairs)
Help moving larger objects into storage area (HUGE window A/C unit, some random bits of furniture too large to get myself)
Minor home repairs (currently, patching a small spot in porch roof where damned squirrels keep trying to get in. I have a good sturdy ladder, but I'm terrified of heights)
