Petition for Another Clothing Optional Beach
Return to DiscussionsSadly due to the flood conditions Hanlans is inaccessible, but would this not be the prefect opportunity to petition the city to authorize and designate another "temporary" Clothing Optional Beach... We maybe missing this opportunity to pressure city officials to provide us an additional legal and safe beach(s) to enjoy while Hanlans is closed, with hopes any newly designated "temporary" beach may remain Clothing Optional even after Hanlan re-opens next summer.
Just a tought...
I've actually been on city of Toronto merry go round about this and other issues on the beach for the past year. I had made progress with Pam McConnell 's office but she passed away and I have just now gotten a response from the new Councillor of the Ward. This is not a simple process and the City won't be even willing to entertain the idea (as stellar as I think it is) unless we are far more organised and arrive with a serious impact and cost benefit study in hand. I will keep at it
