About Stroke Survivors

I had a stroke several months ago and thought there should be a support group on TN just as there is for breast cancer survivors. Pictures would be great that essentially say “I am not dead yet” and even though I may be handicapped I will overcome this adversity. The bottom line is that we can lift each other up by sharing experiences, tools we might have encountered through therapy or something else along the way. I was lucky in that I was retired at the time of my CVA ; I am married, so I had a support group, and I had good insurance. But I welcome help from all quarters and if a stroke survivors’ support group on TN will help one person who needs help, then it will be worth it.

1. Be positive as often as you can,2. But don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.3. Photos are welcome but posts without photos are welcome as well.
