Stroke Survivors

I had a stroke several months ago and thought there should be a support group on TN just as there is for breast cancer survivors. Pictures would be great that essentially say I am not dead yet and even though I may be handicapped I will overcome this adversity. The bottom line is that we can lift each other up by sharing experiences, tools we might have encountered through therapy or something...

This is what a left hemisphere stoke looks like on the right side of the face.

A left-hemisphere stroke causes loss of motor control that can lead to swallowing problems and aphasia.
