Got there 8:30ish and had to wait in line since only one person at the desk, who didn't have an XL spa shirt to give me, which was odd seeing as they were just opening. By the time I stripped off and headed into the wet area, there were only two other guys there. By 10:30 the wet area was fairly packed and by 11 you could barely move. A bit too crowded for me. Thinned again around lunchtime when I left.
About 40-50 guys in the bade pool area at peak; four were wearing trunks -- two guys solely hanging with each other, and as best as I could tell, the other two were individuals who came with friends who were naked. One of the staff did reprimand a guy who came into the bade pool area with his spa uniform on, but I've seen that happen before. You know it's way too crowded when guys have to do an inner circle of the bade pool like they're trying to find a parking space. Hate when it gets that crowded, but I anticipated it being a Saturday.
Sauna and steam are still too ridiculously hot and that is such a negative for me. And the one smaller soaking tub next to the cold plunge is still closed with plants in front of it; it's been years since that pool was open. I didn't see anyone getting a scrub while I was there, and only a couple guys napping on the tile space on the side.
It was nice to see more Asian men there than the last few times I'd been, a couple with their young sons. Cool seeing the tradition continue. Overall a good visit and laid back crowd, which was very welcome. And if I do go on a Saturday again, I'll plan arrive right at 8 and leave by 10:30.
