Do you keep yourself shaved when you visit the doctor?
Return to DiscussionsI have no issue being shaved in front of other nudists because I fit right in. But with doctors, I'm a little self conscious, so I always grow my pubic hair back when I'm getting my annual checkup to the doctor. I always hate that because that means I have to go through 2-3 of hair growth, which I hate.
I wish I could just stay shaved when going to the doctor but I'm afraid he might react and wonder why I don't have pubic hair.
So what do you all do? Do you keep yourself shaved and let your doctor see it? If so, do they ever react or ask questions?
I'm shaved from the neck down and I have no hesitation when a doctor sees me. I go to a dermatologist, I have had 3 skin cancer's removed, twice a year for a full body exam and being shaved and nude does not bother me.
I've been shaved for over 30 years now, wouldn't have it any other way. I also have a full medical for work every year and never been bothered when it came to dropping my briefs and the doc seeing the lack of pubes.
Over the years I've seen several different docs and most rarely bat an eye, a couple have commented about me not being that rare being shaved and that they see guys smooth regularly.
I also wear a steel ring which I normally take off for check up day but a couple of years back I forgot I was wearing it till I entered the examination room and the doc asked to to undress down to underwear, when it came to the underwear off checks I explained about the ring and he was not phased by it at all, he actually gave me a few tips out wearing it and to be careful fitting and removing it and how i could injury myself if not careful.
I'm sure most docs have seen it al before during their career and some might have even be smooth too.
Thanks, appreciate all the replies. My initial reason for starting this thread was because I was planning on trying out waxing next week. So that would mean long term smoothness and would mean that hair might not grow in time for a future doctor's appointment. Well, anyways, that plan went down the drain. I cancelled my waxing appointment next week for two reason: I can't gain any courage (too scared of the pain and possible infections or side effects) and I don't like letting my pubic hair grow too long. You can't get waxing done unless the hair is 1/4 inch or longer and that means having to grow my pubes for two week. I can't do that. Within 5-7 days of shaving and my pubes are 1/8 inch long, I can't stand it and need to shave that off ASAP. That's just the way I've always been with my pubic hair. This is why I'm hoping that one day, I should go for either laser or electrolysis. Requires a lot of patience and money, but I'm sure it's worth it. Never done anything permanent in my life (no tattoos or anything) as I have a tendency to change my mind on things later on in life. But one thing that I've never changed my mind on is my pubic hair. I've always wanted that hair gone! I just hate it!

Have you thought of epilating? I do it once a week and the regrowth does not itch.

Is that safe? What epilator is safe for the pubic area? Do you have a link to a specific one that you can share?
Also, how painful is that? I imagine it's more painful than waxing as it's pulling hair one by one as opposed to waxing that's pulling multiple hairs in one quick pull.
Ive been shaving for years. First here n there, initially when wife git brazil waxed for our trip to Jamaica. Then i found i like being shaved . I go fir an annual physical, and st first i was nervous , but dr never said anything. Now i comfortable w him seeing me shaved.

My first epilator was a Braun and my current one is a Phillips. Before the first time, I plucked each hair. It was too painful trying to do so many at once. Now the weekly touch-ups are nearly painless.
