Self Timers
For those who take naked photos of themselves using a self timer
my technics - and Yours ?????
Return to Discussionsformerly i used a kodak. there i could select variable times between the pics. but, poor quality, camera is defect ...
in the meantime I use a pentax optio ws80. camera has fix intervalles of ten seconds, but i can select free between 1 and 921 pix for same serie... thats a great feature.
and the best: camera is waterproof and proof against dust ....
besides: the pentax optio ws80 is a old version - there is a newer ws90 existing and newest serie is the pentax optio WG 1 to WG3. Will be my next one if my older but good ws80 will get retired :-))
Very interesting. Its a pity I can't see your photos asmost are set to fiends only and a couple are heavily pixelated.
I use a Fujifilm Finpix Tcamera with a Fujinon Lens f= 5.5mm 1:3.4-5.6, whatever that means. I chose it because in is small enough to fit in my pocket, has zoom and time delay and was not too expensive. I've written off countless cameras by getting sand in the lens movement. That stops it focusing and it shuts down.It is capable of 16 megapixels but I set it to a minimum to avoid too big a file size. When I use time delay I often find the photo is under or over exposed (is it possible to overexpose a nudist?). So I always adjust the exposure of the photos on my computer. When using a self timer (or a friend for that matter) I can never be sure of the composition but this is put right by cropping the photo. And, of course, there are things that can be done on Photoshop.
If its of any use to you here are my tips for self photography. If you have a self timer, to frame up the photo correctly make a note of the edges seen thru the viewfinder, so you know you need to be within that zone. width is quite easy but height is tricky as you can easy cut the top of your head from the photo. Use a door frame as a guide for a first try. I have a Canon SLR and you can get a wireless remote for it, so now I can press the button in my hand once I am in position and smiling :) this is a great tool. Also when you press the button to start the self timer, best to NOT be standing infront of the camera, as it may focus and check light at this time, so step to the side to start the timer, so it has a clear view of the area you will be located in. Hope that helps.
