What got you started?

I know many do it simply because they like having a bare glans (I did!), but I have heard of others who were told to by parents or partners, or because they saw other guys doing it.
What's your story?
Like everyone here, I appreciate having my foreskin retracted continuously. I am fortunate that he remains as 7 days / 7 and 24 hours / 24. Of course, initially, the motivation is to know what that feels a cut. In addition, I suffered from hypertension. As this meant a greater swelling of the glans during excitations. As with balloons, the more it expands, the more the envelope narrows. In my case, certainly there was no explosion, but it was that blood was oozing through the skin in blood pressure. It was embarrassing when sex, as you can imagine. I had read that circumcision resulted in keratinisation and thickening of the skin of the glans. I thought this could be a solution to my problem. It's like what I started.
Of course I discovered on this occasion the advantages described by others.
There is an element that has not been raised by others, but which may have its importance. Certainly in a country like the US where circumcision is still widespread, retract his foreskin may be only a desire to be like others. But there is an element that can also count: the sexual aspect. For a man who is not cut, usually his penis is visible only during sex. So regardless of sexual orientation, the exhibition as a vision of a naked glans, even with a flaccid penis, can cause some excitement, even for a righteous man, because of the implied connotation.
Moreover, is it that there are men who retract their foreskin while they are never naked in front of others?
i remember being told to retract my foreskin when peeing as a kid. Maybe 6 or 7. A little later I started leaving it back sometimes but it would tend to roll foreword quite quickly. No my early 20s I started going to the local swimming pool where I then lived. There was a Victorian Turkish baths attached with sauna, steam rooms etc. I noticed s few of the guys would pull their skin back and leave it that way and this started me doing the same thing. My foreskin tends to stay back on its own most of the time now.
Like my Father, I was not cut at birth. At seven years old, Dad told me it was time to keep it skinned back.Which I did with out question.But found that to keep it it retracted, I had to freeball like Dad. Has stayed retracted full time.

Did he give you a reason why? (Presumably he is/was retracted also?) How did freeballing help?

Never thought about it much growing up. Foreskin was really tight. Really no guidance had four older brothers all intact and had a few friends that were intact as well. We never got teased or anything nobody ever talked about it. My sophomore year in high school I got the biggest scare of my life. My foreskin retracted behind my head and would go back and was so tight it was cutting off the circulation. Of course no one knew what to do and embarrassing to say the least. The Dr was calm and said it happens gave me some cream told me to stretch it and sent me on my way. Everyone thought that I was going to have be circumcised. I was kinda hoping it to be the case at the time. I inquired about with the Dr and didnt think it was necessary even though his sons were circumcised. Inquired again at 18 when in college and the said it loosened up nicely shouldnt have any problems. Again at 23 went in for my blood test to get a my marriage license I inquired and he kinda got upset with me and said ok if thats what you want proceed to one of his drawers and pulled out a scalpel Ill do it now how it was done when I delivered you free hand no anesthesia no stitches free of charge. Of course I freaked. Dr said just what I thought not wha you want and sent me on my way. So I keeped clean and loose retracted off and on. So again in my 30s I inquired with the Urologist when get my vasectomy done he didnt find it necessary and when he first saw me he thought I was circumcised. Now Im glad I was never circumcised I can live the best of both worlds. I mainly stay retracted more that Im older because I never want to go through that scare when I was 15. I know TMI but thats my story.
