Our Middle Child

Return to Discussions

Sylvestra is almost 12 yrs. old. My husband named this B&W DSH cat when we got her from the Spay&Neuter clinic. Three evenings ago, we notice she was having weekness in her hind lages. Tuesday, we took her to the vet where we spent almost $300, most of it for x-rays. With medications, thank goodness she's easy to give liquids and pills to, she is now starting to walk a bit. She has been confined to a large dog crate in our room and finally used the litter box rather than the patient pad in the crate. Yeahhhh..
Prayers for animals do help.

A week later...she's much better went to see the Vet for a re-check. There's no such thing as a free animal. LOL
She got a shot of something, and we'll return in 2 weeks.

Sylvestra continues to improve. She no longer needs to remain in the large crate. She ran a bit in the immediate backyard yesterday and actually jumped up to the couch last evening. I continue to give her the prednisone tabs and twice daily liquid meds. She has an appointment w/the vet on Wednesday.

I think Sylvestra is as well as she's going to get. She still has some residual neurological weakness in her lower limbs but has more "life" in her and will play with the 1-yr. old. I am still giving her a half of Prednisone every other day.

Oh poor little Honey Bunny! Sorry for being so untimely. I don't get on much with having to use other friends computers.Of course the "fur" children get my prayers of healing, health, & happiness!Brightest Blessings my friend ; )Hugs,Cher @}-]-----Thanks for wishes. She still likes to sneak into our bedroom and recline on the bed. If I can't find her, I know where to looks. She is still entertaining. :) Her personality is interesting. Some times I think she really does understand "human."
