Prostate Health
A group for men with discussion about prostate issues and health.
The practice of milking
Return to DiscussionsOne day I was at my doctors getting a check up and although I am still on the younger side of the spectrum, I was told that prostate health is just as important in our younger years as is in our older years. Part of prostate health is to have regular ejaculations and a healthy sex life. Every now and then however, according to my doctor, a man will need assistance in getting a full emptying of prostate fluids but a process called "Milking" Basically this is the manual manipulation of the prostate gland and forced to ejaculate all fluids. For some of us this is a VERY intense feeling and my first time experiencing this was undeniably the most intense reaction I have ever had. After the process, I did feel more energetic and somewhat high on endorphins so the experience, although intense was definitely worth it.
Practice is totally new to me. Read the suggested article from Men's Health. They make mention of research studies being too limited in scope, but the discussion of benefits is quite positive. Would appreciate comment from those who have received such treatment. Is this considered an alternative therapy or holistic? Also, have you scheduled decreasing frequency or regular set appointments? The pleasure factor is a given....but what health improvements or symptom relief have you experienced? Thanks all.
My dad had prostate trouble over 50 years ago and before he had surgery he went to the urologist almost weekly and had this done. I was about his same age when I had prostate troubles for the first time. Early to mid fifties. After several visits my then urologist did a milking on me. It did give some relief from pain but I didnt feel orgasmic nor do I remember any ejaculate coming out. Wonder how it is now looked upon 15 years after I had my only medical one. Do urologists in training learn it now when training and if so how often do they do it?
I had a urologist perform a prostate massage once.
My wife and I had four kids and were trying for a fifth -- wasn't happening. Normally, they make you wait a year or two before they'll do anything, but because we already have four children and it was obvious that we were a fertile couple, they started doing stuff right away.
The first thing they did was a post-fuck pelvic exam on my wife. We were instructed to fuck in the morning and she was to go straight to the doctor's office for an exam. She was told not to clean up or anything, just pull the panties on and drive to the doctor's office.
She hated it. She said, "They're going to know I had sex."
I'm like, "Well, duh. They already know you have sex; you have four children."
So they did that exam and said there were A LOT of sperm inside her, but they were all dead. Told me to go to a urologist. He did a brief exam and told me I'd have go at least 48 hours without cuming and then produce a semen specimen at the hospital lab. He wanted them to culture it to see if there were any infection.
I did that and then returned to the urologist. The lab only did the count and amount and didn't do the culture. He wanted to see whether that was anything going on. He gave me a microscope slide, told me to hold it below the end of my cock while he massaged my prostate to express prostatic fluid.
In those days, I was way too concerned about what other people thought. Somehow, I managed to NOT have an erection while he was massaging my prostate; it was pretty intense. I didn't cum, but I did produce plenty of plenty of prostatic fluid.
