Playalinda/Apollo Beach

A group for those of us that like to go to Playalinda and Apollo Beach on the east coast of Florida.

First week of March

Return to Discussions

My wife and I are going to Orlando the first week of March. I know it might be iffy, but what do you think would be our chance of having some halfway decent beach weather to go over to Playalinda for a day. I am missing that beach!

About all you can do is hope for the best. Our winter down here has been mild and if the ground hog is right (yeah) then March will be good. However; March can be breezy. You might want a wind breaker for the beach so you can get some sun. I believe Playalinda allows them, but I could be wrong. Check at the gate as you enter and keep an eye on the weather. Good Luck.

Your chances are good. Even if the temps are not too high, if the sun is shining and it is not too windy, you should have a fine time.

Thanks for the replies. Hoping for good weather. Would like to try Cypress Cove, but there is no way I could get the wife to go there.

I went to Playalinda on Monday, Feb. 29 and Saturday, March 5. Monday was the perfect beach day. No wind and temperatures in the mid 70's. Saturday was windy and a little cooler, but not a bad day to be out. There were quite a few people there each day enjoying the beach. It felt wonderful to feel the sun and breeze on my whole body!
