STUPID QUESTION: Why do people join a group called "Nudists who want to REALLY meet nudists" with their profiles blocked and expect others to respond to their posts?

RE: Blocked profiles

Excellent question!
Here's another twist:
Why does someone block you from their profile and then send messages wanting to meet?
Lol lol lol

RE: Blocked profiles

Maybe its all a big test to see how much you do genuinely want to meet other nudists. You have to wade through all the blanks, fakes, frauds, textiles and people who don't reply to messages etc etc. Once you've done the marathon hoop jumping course you'll be allowed to meet other nudists.
Or maybe not!!!

Seriously, it has been worth persevering, I have met real genuine nudists from here in real life, made some good online friends and continue to use the site in the hope of meeting more of their kind, shame it takes a lot of sifting to find the nudists who really want to meet nudists.

RE: Blocked profiles

Being nudist is like being gay. Some people have no issues at all with it and you can be frank and transparent with them but other people have serious issues with nudism. Sometimes its neither wise nor safe to be "out" as a nudist depending on your career or social circles. If I'm honest, I'm surprised that some nudists don't understand this and assume all pvt profiles or those with few or no pics are up to no good. It's simply not the case. The sad reality is that it's not yet safe for some nudists to be "out" about their nudism.

While I can certainly understand the gay analogy, there's a certain netiquette to online interaction that suggests if you're asking to connect with others that you be somewhat open. It's hypocritical to be able to view others profiles and make the judgement as to whether you want to connect with them while blocking them from doing likewise.
And I can understand a bit of privacy. But it's not like we're on Facebook where, depending on your privacy settings, everyone including non-nudists can stumble upon your information. We're on a site dedicated to nudism.
But there's a sharp difference between marking a few pictures "friends only" or only including a certain amount of information in your profile versus totally blocking any and all access to your information if you have honest intentions of connecting with others.

If you really want to meet someone you need to let them see you - if only to find out if they want to meet you.

RE: Blocked profiles

I agree with the thought expressed that a blocked or private profile is very off putting.I had a large clear out of my friend list early in 2015, with being in my 5th year of membership here.I deleted the people with no information on their profile, or no photograph even for a friend to see who we may be talking to.Talking to a blank screen, or someone who never puts their webcam on, is like talking to a brick wall. It really is poor communication. As a long time member, one is tired and weary of listening to recent members going on, ad nausea in the main room, about all the perverts. It isn't just them, there are snoops on here too. Or people who are not what they say they are. Whether through mental illness, or whatever.I am not an exhibitionist, far from it, I am quiet and a loner to be honest. I leave my profile open to stick x2 fingers up at people. If there are desperate people who like looking at me, I feel sorry for them. And they show the real me. Not a body beautiful in some eyes. Damn them:)

RE: Blocked profiles

I just don't understand private or blocked profiles. If privacy is an issue (which I respect) then don't post face pix or pix at all but at least share a little bit of information on the profile.
