In Oregon we have an advantage of very nudist friendly laws I didn't know that when I moved here from los Angeles, as I was just looking for a lower cost of living and better public transit, and i also have a sister who lives not too far away from the Portland area. After moving here i found tow pleasant surprises waiting for me. One is that Portland is the micro-brew capital of the world and the other is that the state of Oregon has very nudist friendly laws.
I have blind spots in my vision wh8ich prevents me from driving a car safely, but I still see well enough to ride a bicycle safely, and because it ws really hard to find rides out to the local nude beaches, I bought a bike and started riding out alone to Rooster Rock State Park, which is only about 15 miles one way, so I could fully enjoy the day naked in the sun. Now, when I get rides it is usually to one of the AANR clubs, like Mountaindale or the Willametans.
I' recently just got off a chemo type of drug for leukemia and am looking forward to getting out where II cna be nude outdoors as much as possible. Due to my transportation limitations, findign others who also enjoy nude recreation woudl help me get out more and let me enjoy more of a variety of places and activities. When I catch rides I am willing to take public transit to get to you, and then am also willing to chip in for gas.
I also started another group here on truenudist.com called "Naturist and Nudists of the Greater Portland Oregon Area" so that loccal nudists in my area will have their own forum, place to post and meet other local nudists.
I do plan to do the World Naked Bike Ride again this year. In Portland the ride have over 10,000 participants each year. In 2015, this year, it willo be on June 27th. As usual the route will be kept secret until the actual ride takes place, with only the starting point being announced in advance of the ride. It is done that way so that the police can better manage crowd control, and so that any fanatic hate groups won't be able to disrupt the ride.
Anyway, if you live in the greater Portland area and want to make mroe nudist friends, please send me a note. I enjoyu nude hikes, nude bike rides, the nude beaches, the AANR clubs and although I have not yet been, I'd like to visit hot spring areas.
