Nudists Wardrobe

Even nudists have to wear clothes sometimes. Is it the bare minimum? Is it see-through, skimpy or barely legal? And what fun do you have wearing it?

Smallest Wardrobe

Return to Discussions

Who has very little clothing?
If you do. list what you have and let's see who has the shortest list.
While mine is not that small, I will post it to get things started.
1 suit jacket
2 dress slacks
2 cargo pants
1 sweat pants
3 swim suits
7 shorts
5 sleeveless shirts
14 t shirts
10 collared shirts
2 sweaters
2 sweat shirts
Bottoms are probably at my minimum, and may even need to add a pair or 2 of jeans when the weather gets cooler.
Don't really need that many shirts, but all of the tanks and ts and a few of the collared shirts have a message or logo of significance to me.

RE:Smallest Wardrobe

While Ollygrumps has significantly reduced his wardrobe, I have seen little change.
I am down 2 t shirts and one collared shirt since I first posted.
2 other t shrits are wearing out and will not be replaced when they are no longer fit to wear.
Still will have 2 or 3 more than I need, but will probably just wait for more to wear out and not replace them.
If I find that 1 pair of jeans is enough to get me through the winter, the other will go in the spring.
One thing I am considering doing is getting home exercise equipment and dropping my gym membership.
If I do, 3 tanks and 1 or 2 pair of shorts could go.

One of the old shirts ripped around the neckline today.
Will probably cut it down to a gym tank and get rid of the one of those that I like the least.

RE:Smallest Wardrobe

Well I don't have a small wardrobe as my wife keeps telling me I have way to much. I collect or get t-shirts from places I visit or events I have been to: New Orleans, Corfu, Seattle, NC, plus my football team t-shirts. I have a whole drawer full of them as well as a whole drawer of shorts, 3 or 4 pairs of jeans and then the hanging clothes. Some I haven't worn in a long time but still can't seem to part with. However since we have become empty nesters I am able to be nude pretty much 24/7 besides walking the dogs at night and when we go out shopping or visit the in laws for Sunday football games so my laundry basket barely gets used anymore. Probably don't do more than a load of laundry a week now.

One T shirt cut and one string tank tossed.
Can't find newly cut tank. May have accidentally toss it with the cuttings and old string, so I am probably down two shirts.

So, Minimalist, how many clothes do you now have?

RE:Smallest Wardrobe

I believe 43 items.
I am down a total of 6 shirts and one swimsuit net since I started this thread. Also replaces 2 pair of shorts with jeans at the end of summer, so while this resulted in an increase in the amount of material, it did not affect the item count. Two more t shirts are starting to wear out, and when they do, they will not be replaced. Also beginning to think that one pair of jeans would be enough. If I still think so in the spring, one will go and not be replaced.
This would still leave me around 40. While I know you and several others are much lower, it would not work for my lifestyle.
I am involved in several community organization that I enjoy.
Our grandson spends most of the summer with us.
One thing I may do is get exercise equipment for home and drop my gym membership, This would allow me to get rid of 3 tanks and 2 shorts, getting me to around 35.

Forgot twp related important ones,
I like to take vacations to see the world, most of which cannot be nude.
My wife is not comfortable around nude people other than myself, so even when we take a beach or resort vacation it is to a clothed venue.

RE:Smallest Wardrobe

Realized today that I had hardly worn one of the shorts that I kept so they are now trashed.

One more thought.
Those of you must with very minimal wardrobes have a lot of empty space in your closets and drawers. What are you doing with it?
One of the few men I have encountered in a forum (not this one) who had an even smaller clothing supply than anyone here got rid of his dresser and took out his closet for more living space and kept his few remaining items on a shelf in the laundry room.
