Nudists On The LAM (Louisiana, Alab
Since the other group with a similar name hasn't had activity in 3 years, I created this one for people who live in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi and like to be naked. Please join and tell your fiends to join. Planning to meet up first thing in March or April when the weather warms back up.
Name a time, suggest a place
Return to DiscussionsI'm available all summer long. I'm in grad school but taking the summer off so any sunny day is good for me. I tend to have more money on hand to travel at the first of the month, but with a little planning anything is possible.
I live in the northwest corner of the state so it's at least a 5-hour drive to any beach. I've heard of two places that could work. One named Johnson Beach, which I have gotten listed here on TN. Another I just heard of today called Ship Island. Johnson Beach is just east of Orange Beach, and Ship Island is just west of Alabama's shorelines. Certainly would be nice to have a stretch of beach all our own.
Of course we don't have to meet at a beach but could opt for something inland. Open to suggestions. That's what this thread is about. Post your availability and suggest a place. Hopefully this thread will get enough attention (pass a note to all your southeast friends, primarily focused on getting Alabama residents together, but being Southern of course all are welcome), and we can reach a consensus. Even if it's just me and one other person, that's a start. Hopefully someone will respond.
I'm throwing a naked voice out into the internet; maybe an echo will return.
The only official place I know of in Alabama is Gymno-Vita, a resort in like Leeds or that area (east of B'ham). If you don't care about meeting somewhere official and just want somewhere secluded, there are plenty of places I believe in Fultondale (north of B'ham) and has a creek going through it. Of course, unused trails in Trussville are the most convenient for me (right beside I-59), but hiking and biking would be the only things possible to do. The Trussville Sports Complex has a creek, but expect to run into ppl from time to time. Oak Mountain State Park, south Hoover (south of B'ham) has a waterfall or two. But again, expect that a few other ppl will be there too.I think I'm available anytime, but that's if we're close to home, the B'ham area. I don't know when I'd be available to go too far out.
I'm in the new Orleans area. There are no beaches in Louisiana. The closest is Florida's Johnson's Beach.
There are two sites, Indian Hills just northeast of New Orleans in Slidell and The Country Club in New Orleans.
Indian Hills is a camp/resort with moderate fees. The Country Club is a restaurant and bar (Clothing required) with a patio bar and pool (clothing optional). Fees are reasonable, but cheaper during the week.
It's the busy season at work, so time is limited until mid to late August when things begin to slow.down again.
Always interested in meeting new folks. Let me know if/when you have plans posted.
good idea, except that it's male only, there's several couples where this wouldn't be an option
i'm thinking about dropping in there the next sunny day or two if you want to split a room, i'm in grad school still so i'm all about saving money, hit me up in pm

I'd like to meet up somewhere guys. The problem is I have no where to stay. I can't come for just one day and drive back. If an anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to come one weekend.
