Return to DiscussionsThe finally opened the new locks? Our first nude cruise was in 2013 and that was the original target date to open. It looked like they had barely begun work at the time! Our ship (Carnival Freedom) was too big for the old locks, so we did a tour of the locks on foot.

A while back were were on a sister ship, Ruby to Hawaii. The aft facing cabin B757, was so private even the wife sunned nude. Unfortunately, she found the sound of the wake too loud, so we probably won't do an aft facing again. CARRIBE deck on most Grand class ships have half covered balconies, so you aren't totally exposed like on the Dolphin Deck Minisuites.
Know what you mean about the Caribe and Dolphin deck balconies on the Caribbean (and sister ships). We tend to get the Dolphin deck for the mini-suite but of course that pretty much prevents any kind of nude balcony time since there is no cover over your seating area. Best to get Baha deck or above for a comfortable, nude capable balcony.
