Nude Gardeners
A group for fellow gardeners from around the world.
Nudist gardening when possible.
Return to DiscussionsBeing tiding up the geraniums (the perennial not the bedding ones) the last few days and some time soon to do the rambling rose against the fence which runs along against the road at the front and this will be a big dare to do.
I started a new flower bed and it's in full bloom with a bird/butterfly bath and a nude statue. I put another bird bath fountain near a butterfly bush I planted a couple of months back.
I love this property, it's relaxing to say the least.
The weather this year has been terrific for nude gardening, we have had around 60 days of total unabashed nakedness tending out garden and veggie plot. Always lots to do, we've just about managed with rainwater harvested from our house and various outbuildings. Our total reserves when full are 4000 liters, we did go through the whole lot in a 2 week period earlier this year, rising early to water everything before breakfast. We have enjoyed the best tomatoes for years, salads have been abundant and the herbs have been the best in memory. We have eaten masses of french beans, broccoli, cauliflowers, early potatoes and beetroot etc. I built a small hugelkultur (sp) bed for our pumpkins and courgettes, the pumpkins have done very well both in size and quantity but the courgettes have been very meager an all respects. We are looking forward to our few peppers (pretty poor results really) but great late potatoes, various cabbage varieties, sprouts, carrots and parsnips, the last three will be very nice to eat at Christmas time.
On the herb front we have become addicted to Lemon Balm, we use it as an infusion, strain, add ice and a little honey, top up with lemonade made with lemon zest and juice, delicious on a hot afternoon.
Happy naked gardening to all, {Paul x
