Tomato
Return to DiscussionsRE:Tomato
Tomatoes are heavy feeders and need a good strong dose of nitrogen as they start blooming, putting on fruit and every so often thereafter. And it needs to be an acid type nitrogen like ammonia sulphate to keep the fruit going. One way is to mix a couple cups each of laundry ammonia and vinegar in 5 gallons water and water them with it.

RE:Tomato
The Romas are loaded but there is a bit of yellowing on some of the bottom leaves.Any ideas why? Am I over watering?
A little bit of yellowing on the bottom leaves is normal as the tomato plant grows. These leaves are the oldest and the first to die off. When my plants are about 3 feet tall I prune off all the bottom leaves within a foot of the ground.
