Last Days of Summer
Return to DiscussionsMaking the most of a warm sunny day in the garden.I'm not completely shielded from the road, but its only the occasional lorry that can see in.Mowing the lawn naked with your feet in the grass is a fantastic experience.A quick coffee then back to weeding the vegetable plot.Just got to make the most of these days.
Indian summer in Annapolis. Rain and cooler temps had Haden looking great. Chrysanthemums in glorious full bloom. Planted some hosta, but otherwise garden needed no work. So, spent day nude by poolside. Was only one to dare the cold water. Won a dollar bet that way. LOL
You lucky people. Summer is definitely over for us now. In the past four days we have had three major wind storms and driving rain. Two of the storms we lost power for 3-5 hours. During a lull between storms yesterday morning I managed to drink my coffee outdoors naked lasting for about 20 minutes before running back into the house to warm up and the rain returned. The temperature was 10C and it was quite nice to be outside one last time in a sheltered spot.
managed to plant a few apple trees here but getting cool especially at night my privacy screening is great on either side of me and half the rear but the one area i need covering is a wet area and since the neighbor behind has a two story house the leyland cypress is my best bet. i have some thoughts including a gravel drain off to keep area dry. be better to move to 10 acres if i could.
Got the lawn cut nude today so not bad going for the last day of October. Looks like it will be down to between 8C and 11C for the next 10 days and even if the sun is out it is going to be plenty cold to be nude outside for very long.
Today it was 16C and the sun was out with no wind so it was nude grass cutting for the front and back garden and the trackway. Looks like it will be down to a max of 11c for the next ten days so will this be the last nude gardening day for the year.
