Is this a wierd coincidence or what? I can't remember this many quarterbacks (startersand backups) who are out with injuries at any given time. Stafford, now Shaun Hill in Detroit, Dennis Dixon in Pittsburgh (Rothlisberger is back now, but...
And with out Rothlisburger! Who would have thought it. And how about 35 year old Charlie Batch, 3rd string QB, throwing 3 TD's last Sunday. If they stay healthy, they will definitely make the playoffs. Mike
I saw this morning that Chan Gailey has cut QB Trent Edwards from the Bills. Kind of a sad ending for somene who was hailed once as the next Jim Kelly. I always thought Edwards was talented, but lacked much self confidence. Whatever issues he had,...
Thought some of you might find these interesting or entertaining. SI columnist Peter King has his predictions for the 2010 season for division, wild card and conference winners(for whatever they are worth): AFC North = Steelers East = Jets South =...
What we have waited for since February. Tommorrow, Thursday September 9 at 8PM EST, the new NFL season begins - Saints vs. Vikings. My gut tells me this could be an interesting season. Even though there are the favorites, the Lombardi trohpy is up...
The new season ia almost upon us. The first game of 2010 is scheudled for this Thursday at 8PM. As always, I greet each new season with a sense of hope and optimism.Let's hear it for a great season of football! Mike

Pre-season games start in a few weeks. Won't see any great football (never do), but it's a good opportunity to see how good the bench is, get a good feel for the depth of the talent on our teams.
The damnedest thing I ever saw on a football field! I swapped flags for gold one shot into the back 9. This wasn't a kick-off, it was an event! The only thing that could compare on a soccer pitch is if ever some fool takes a penalty with his...
Is it just me or are we seeing alot of bad calls in college games? A prime example was the celebration call against Georgia that ultimate led to a LSU victory.
