I stayed up late to view Saturn. Always so amazing. While I was waiting, I explored the center of our galaxy in Sagittarius. I observed M6, M7, M8, M20, M22, M21, and before turning to Saturn, M13. Im glad I was observing nude. Its still and humid....
Did anyone view the total solar eclipse? I had a few friends over and we all viewed it from my backyard. I had 4 telescopes set up.
Has anyone ever seen a fireball in the sky, ie a meteor? My wife and I saw a huge fireball Saturday night over south Fort Worth, TX.
I decided to build a Roll off Roof observatory in the back pasture. Im tired of my neighbors porch lights interfering with my observing. I got a great deal done this past weekend. Anyone else have a backyard observatory?
I use my 10 inch Dobsonian mounted Orion XT Newtonian most the time.
