Tried out the Smooth Side
Return to DiscussionsSo, how many of you here have tried out the "smooth side"?
I usually like to try things out before I say whether I like them or not. So, I've been shaved before. I liked it for a little bit. Then, the itching started. And I also looked like a prickly pear. Now, I embrace my wild side and just like the Lorax, I let it grow!
Does anybody else have a similar experience? If so, was it by choice or was it done to you for a surgery? I hear that's a common reason people try it for the first time.
The only time I've ever been " Smooth" was about thirty+ years ago as prep for a vasectomy. It was during the Summer months and I remember feeling like a proverbial bald headed mouse the following weekend at the nudist club. Fortunately it grew back fairly fast and I never had any inkling to ever look that way again--it was simply something to put up with for a medical procedure.
I've been a nudist for my entire adult life, joined my first club back in 1968. Those are now regarded as vintage times, and everyone had a bush, it was the norm. There were only a couple of occasions when traveling that I'd seen women who were shaved, likely to please their male partners.
Fast forward to today, and I still have no interest whatsoever in shaving my bush or ball hair. Call it vanity on my part, but I find it really strange looking when I see a guy, even one who's only moderately hairy, with a bare patch of skin between his navel and crotch.
I'm with you on this, and, like you, I say bring on the Lorax and bring out my wild side!
Below are some vintage pics (when everyone had a bush) as well as myself, proud of my hairy crotch!.
I can't help but giggle at how hairy folks liked to carry themselves back then:) For anyone who wants to feel nostalgic and wants be among the hairy, bring yourself right on over to the clothing-optional beach (Denny-Blaine) here in Seattle. I guarantee you'll see more hairy crotches, underarms and legs on both women and men than you'll know what to make of. I can tell you that I am in the minority being smooth all over there at the C-O Beach. It's all good. Live and let live.
Tried it once, shaved everything below the waist, was kinda hot for a day or two, then i suspect folks thought i had crabs, constantly itching my crotch. then i tried just my scrotum and the back side of my cock. big mistake, it was constantly sticking together.
also tried just trimming, looked weird, now its quite bushy love it, no itching, no sticking.
i too seek out vintage porn, love all the body hair, men look like men. cant imagine wanting to spend all that time shaving.
i also agree with the fact that a guy that just shaves in his briefs, looks odd when nude, furry chest, belly, legs, and a smooth crotch.
I believe some guys shave because it makes their dick look bigger, i disagree, it makes them look pre-pubesant. small cock, no fur.
My first experience with being smooth was for a surgical procedure back in 1977. Until then I was quite a fur ball. I was so hairy my freshman year in high school, I had to shower with the Teacher and his TAs so everyone got to the next class on time. That's a story unto itself.
Anyway, I went into the ER unaware of what was going on with me. I woke up hours later bald as a cue ball in recovery. Biggest "pain" was the razor burn all over my body. Whoever shaved my body shaved it quickly and dry. It took me days to be comfortable. I looked like a maggot I was shocked more by my appearance than I was the surgery scar. And I lucked out so far as the re-growth. The hair returned soft as originally with no itchiness. I did not like the look or the feel of being hairless. I enjoy being naked in the sun and wind and feeling every follicle reacting to the stimulation.
I do not look forward to being shaved ever again.
