Naked Men's Group
This is a group for guys who like to be naked to talk about stuff specific to being male and a nudist. So if you are a man who prefers not to wear clothes feel free to join this group and contribute to a discussion. Any subjects are welcome as long as they're clean. Old Men Naked in Locker Rooms Under Attack
Return to DiscussionsThanks very much for standing up for us Older guys in Men's locker rooms @ gyms / heath clubs. :-) I myself am afraid of going to a gym, in part for fear of the locker room experience, and how younger guys might react to see a 70-yr-old Naked. It's nice to know there are Mature younger guys like you who would Support us. :-) Makes me reconsider, to perhaps want to go to a Gym, instead of sitting at a computer all day.

I am 39 and I'm always nude in the gym before I get in the shower and when I come out. I always see okder.guys nude as well and I think it's great. I have noticed that some older guys are nude already and some go nude when they see me. I dont disagree there is a changing dynamic regarding dress code and the overwhelming demographic seems to be age. The Y (gym) I belong to does have a separate mens locker room for people over 18, but the dress code, or lack thereof is very much an age factor..
To that point, those who will say hello are often those who take no exception to using the locker area and facilities nude. It unfortunately seems the trend that started when nude swimming at the YMCA ended continues to further manifest itself.
I remember once when I was chatting with some of my young colleagues (born in the 80's) one of them mentioned that he didn't know why some of the older men at his gym were nude so often in the locker room. I mentioned that it probably was partly because when they were younger in the 60s and 70s, communal male nudity was common and men usually swam nude in all male venues like the YMCA and Scout camp. All of them seemed almost shocked. This surprised me since their fathers are about my age and one of the fathers was an eagle scout so I would have thought that they would have heard about it at some point from their fathers.
