Naked Masculinity
I think being naked affirms to me everything that it means to be a man. Being proud of my naked male body. Not being bothered if other people see me nude. Working to keep myself in shape to preserve my physical and mental health and fitness. Being happy to show the masculine features of my body to others, male and female. Just enjoying being naked and being a man. If you agree with any of the...
Times are Changing and so is changing in the Locker Rooms
Return to DiscussionsI was talking with some acquaintances of mine born in the 80's and one of them made the same complaint, using more polite language.
I mentioned that older men may be more open to being nude around other men was that up until the 70s the normal way of swimming in an all male environment was nude.
They all were surprised to hear it.
While they were too young to experience it, I would have thought that their fathers, who are about my age, would have mentioned it at some point, One of the fathers was an Eagle scout, so he probably had experienced quite a bit of it.
Yes its pretty drastic a turn this all took. How about just showering and drying off without having to wear a bathing suit? Also, the sauna is traditionally, as in the previous thousands of years, used au naturale. And that is medically and practically the best way to do it. I didnt really notice things changing significantly until about 10 years ago in the places I went. We live in the most self conscious and self focused time.

I reckon if *it is written* in the mainstream media it must be Gospel/Torah Truth, No, Cousin? At least this time I will concur:

This man has some serious issues. Probably is a single child who never had to share a bath or shower growing up or share a room with a brother. He must get undressed with the lights off.
Unfortunately, these days that seems to be the norm. It has been said that the design of modern homes discourages nudity, with multiple bathrooms and a separate bedroom for each person. Surf clubs in this part of the world are already banning nudity in change rooms.
And yet, there are windows EVERYWHERE in current / modern home design. People don't use curtains, shades or blinds like they used to. Also, since I am in the market for a new bathroom setup, I notice that they don't make bath tubs as much, and showers have clear glass. So, are we afraid to be seen or not?
This guy has only about 730 followers, so his message isn't getting very far. It's not very original, and by the same token, his reaction to other men's skin is a bit over the top.
