Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -
For people who like to be naked in the house...
Nude in a block of small Flats
Return to DiscussionsHi everyone.
I live on my own in a smallblock of 12 flats. I live on the ground floor and was wondering about peoples thoughts on doing everyday things like collecting the post and putting out the rubbish nude. I do when I'm in collect the post nude as the mailboxes are by the entrance and the other day I did put the rubbish out in the shared bins out in the street. This did mean going outside into my estate but it was brief and at night.I was just wondering about other peoples thoughts on this topic and has does anyone else do the same
My home, a 4br, 2ba, left to my sister and me by our parents, is in a semi-upscale neighborhood (that I can neither afford to live in, or sell). I go outside nude at night; whether it be sitting on the porch reading, taking the trash out to the can that sits by the garage door, street side, or on a whim, go to the mailbox by the street (complete with the one streetlight in the area. It's dark, late at night, and I just don't care anymore. If someone passes by and wants to look, so be it; I'msure not going to impress anyone.
I've been feeling the need to move somewhere else, and a nude community may be just the thing. It's not going to be an overnight thing, it will take come time and consideration, but I've always said that I'll know when the right time comes. I'm not even sure where it will be. Europe has been calling be back ever since I left in '04, but so has Key West; I do think that it will be a drastic move, having to sell all of my collected junk, mostly my Harley, tools and compressor, etc. (nobody to really pass it on to, which I would prefer). Guess first I should see if anyone still wants me back :~|.
Well for the past 3 nights I've been out putting the rubbish out in the nude. It's late when I do it but I'm getting used to it.Hopefully I can do it in the daylight without any issues. I did check out the law and it's not against the law to be nude in the streets of the UK as long as your not doing anything illegal !
In Scandinavia too - where I grew up - the law does not prevent you from being naked in public areas ... as long as you don't do anything - apart from simply being naked - that would offend people. This law created the comfort level I needed to do extensive naked hiking in the forest in my youth. But despite the protection of the law - you don't often see people naked in the streets ... so something is holding everybody back. We can have the freedom - but we chose not to ...

Yes, of course. But it is illegal in the UK to display something which distresses someone else. That law has been used against public nudity.
What really matters is whether people who might see you are relaxed about your nudity. Whether it is illegal or not we don't want to berejected by those around us. It is a matter of mutual respect. Having said that I often pop out in front of my house naked. I just check the coast is clear first.
I did read that and I am very respectful as I don't want people to get the wrong idea of nudism.
Another question, is it worth telling my neighbours I'm a nudist ? Has anyone else told their neighbours and what reaction did they get ?
I think i should so no on gets offended if they see me.
In Australia we were living in a block of 6 flats ours was the closest to the street, but as only 2 of the flats were occupied we were nude most of the time. I used to place the rubbish in 2 bins but to get to the compost bin that meant a walk 1/2 way down the drive in full view of the street and at night a sensor light turned that portion of the drive into daylight so trip to that bin nude was a challenge. My wife also enjoyed the freedom and used to open the main room curtain up fully and almost got caught a few times but it really didn't bother her that much. Note it was the first time she returned to Vietnam with no tan lines.
I was outed as a nudist when someone saw me through a window and
told everyone. Now the entire village knows and accepts I'm a
nudist. It makes life easy as we can talk about it from time to
time without any problems. But that does not mean that they
actually want to see me naked* and I respect that. So I generally
check that nobody is around when I venture outside my house or the
privacy of my back garden. I did get caught putting a milk bottle
out today, however.
* It caused a stir when I stripped off in the pub last year but
that's a different story.
