Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -

For people who like to be naked in the house...

Cold weather blues

Return to Discussions

Last weeks record low temps in the northeast have made me face the reality that my days of frolicking nude under the sun are over until next spring. For now, I have to be content with being naked at home: Turn up the thermostat and wear a hoodie to keep my shoulders and back warm. Pray for an unusually warm day between now and springtime!

NewB you are so right. Even under multiple blankets I get so cold nude sleep is often difficult. Trying to meet more local nudists & groups locally to find social nudist opportunities. Hope you have many nude hours this cold weather season.

Even here in Phoenix we've had unseasonably cold wet weather the last two weeks. So, I've been wandering around the house in socks and sweatshirts.

I'm still managing naked indoors as my wife feels the cold, even clothed, and keeps the house warm but I am finding it a bot challenging doing the outside stuff like emptying the indoor bins and getting in logs and solid fuel in the 0C temperatures.

I get a little nude time, sleeping, first thing in the morning while still warm from being under the covers, after a showers, watching TV under a small blanket, etc. Don't like to use enough fuel to keep the house w arm enough to be nude much of the time. Always take a winter break somewhere warm where I can be nude in our unit all the time and wear only shorts in many public situations.

It's not just the cold, It's also the shorter days!
This time of year, it's dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home.
We miss our nude outdoor sunrise coffee time! (Me and Stevie Ray.)
At 40F in the morning, her furry little butt only lasts about 5 minutes outside, then she's finding a nice warm spot to curl up in until sun up.
Waiting for my days off, hoping for sun and calm winds for just a taste of summer to hold me over.
With a nice sunny day, at least the greenhouse will hit 70 and allow for some nude lounging with Stevie Ray by my side.
Some good music, a cold beverage and clothes free while I get my hands dirty helps hold me over til Spring. Even if it's filtered, it's still better than being in the house all winter.

Theres clear advantages to exposing your skin to sunlight optimally all of it! But now during winter in the northern climes, sunlight is also important. When I lived in Stockholm where its only a little light between 10 AM and 2 PM this time of year taught me to get outside for daylight when available. Theres something called Seasonal Affect Disorder where a deeper part of the brain needs more solar stimulation. We might not all have it, but chances are good that the seasonal dynamics affect us nonetheless. So I imagine my glasses are pants, strip them off and go for a midday walk!
