Nude School
Return to DiscussionsI know this has probably been discussed in some form in almost every nudist forum, but I think it's still worth the discussion. The idea of a nudist school seems to be one of the main things that we as a community have still been unable to achieve. I mean we have nudist cities, villages, resorts, even being nude at work seems to be catching-on a bit in recent years (albeit in a very niche way), why isn't a school where at the very least, nudist children and teachers have the option to express their lifestyle, while co-existing with textiles (ie- a clothing optional environment), that much impossible?
I'm not an educator, but as as person who was fascinated by the lifestyle from my childhood I've always wondered what it would have been like to go to school in the nude. I think that there are a lot of benefits for a nudist parent to be able to enroll their child in a school where their lifestyle is accepted and practiced as at home. The child would be entirely relaxed because the switch between being nude at home/on holiday and being a textile at school alone would help them enjoy their school/social life much more freely and would ease-out the regular pressures at school as well. Teachers too would get the same benefits and would be happier with their lot because they don't have to wait till summer break to visit a nude beach in order to enjoy social nudity. And being clothing-optional would provide for a very mixed and healthy environment, it would mean that children would still have contact with their textile peers, as they will have to move into a textile society once they become adults anyway.
I know that there are a huge number of regulations and challenges, especially by governments that stand in the way, but I also think that it'll be possible at least in a very small-scale in an area where nudism is celebrated more than just merely tolerated. I dunno about the US or Australia, but I think European countries like France and the Netherlands would be much more ideal for such a possibility. I think it could be a very engaging campaign for the community to participate in and promote, especially since it's a very effective way to bring-forth the true values and beliefs of the lifestyle straight to the attention of the general public (the textiles) in a radical way. I think that it would do wonders for the general textile perception of the lifestyle as well. I'd especially like to hear from any teachers (both active and retired) and parents on this, any thoughts?
There are two main blockages before anyone can even hint at having a nude school.
The first one is that in any locale there are not enough nudist children to support an all nude school. It would be wrong to force textile children to go nude so that is your first hurdle.
The second is a cultural society problem. Society will never allow nudists to be nude in an otherwise textile school. Nudist are tolerant people generally. So if the school were all nude, and a textile wanted to go to the school, nudists would accommodate the textile child. The reverse is not true. Textiles tend to be extremely intolerant. An all textile school and a few nudists wish to attend school nude. Textiles will not allow it. They would say it is an invasion of their rights. Personal rights seem to only work one way also.
It's a great idea, But it isn't going to happen because textiles will not come to the table of discussion with nudity involved.
