THE "NUDIST LOOK"
Return to DiscussionsI have been a nudist and a member of the local club for over 10 years. I commute on the bus and train to work. Lot of dead time while I travel to and from. Being single I also do this while looking at photos on an internet dating site. I have hopes someday of finding my nudist soul mate so I do a game while times passes, down the train tracks. What I do is watch all the people and wonder which ones could be or would consider being nudists. At the club I have been caught off guard more than once when I see members that I never would have figured to be nudists had I saw them walking down a sidewalk. Others it is obvious they are natural nudists. They just have that "Nudist Look". If that makes sense. So I watch the people and wonder....if I started a conversation and I know it would be a good chat.....is that a person who would be interested to nudism or at least open to the thought. I am a straight person so I'm looking at females when I do this. Anybody else do this? Is there a "nudist look" in the public sector, in the textile world?
I see people in winter when they have clothes on. All have that "air" about them. Some have that prude look and you know if the conversation "nudism" came up they would be offended. Then others, you look at them and wonder....Hmmmm, maybe they would be the nudist type.

I am a people watcher anyway so I do look at people around me. Watching people can be so funny.
I have often wondered about the lives of people I see, such as what they do, where they go, what holidays they take.
Only recently have I started wondering about their attitude towards (lack of) clothes. Especially when it's hot like it has been recently, some women wear VERY little. However, many of them then scowl at people for looking at them which I always find funny. Even though many wear not much more than a couple of handkerchiefs I get the impression that they would never go naked.

tan-lines. I think nudists are more body confident whilst textiles
are more body conscious. Who ever heard of a nudist dieting or
going to the gym just to get Beach Ready?
Al those around me know I'm a nudist. It is interesting to find out
which are more than willing to talk about it, those who are neutral
and those who are against. I get no clues from their looks or what
they do generally.

Only way you can know for sure in textile land is to see them fully nude to find how far their tan really extends. And doing that on a train or bus could get you in deep shit, definitely a Catch 22.

I went to a retro 70's party once where we were to wear clothes from the 70's. I was very hot so I found an old pair of tennis shorts I still had. If you remember the shorts were very short then. At the party one of the women commented that my tan on my legs went above my short shorts. Since it was my minister's wife I didn't tell her how far my tan actually went. I have also had people comment on how far up my tan went on my legs while wearing swim suits when they would ride up while wet or something like. I've told some people why my tan is so high, others I haven't.

I do this all the time..... wondering who among us are nudist in fact or in heart. I spend much time in airports, which is a good place to watch people as the walk by, wondering what is their story... including their potential nudist propensities. Also right in my own neighborhood, with yards often made private with fences and foliage, wondering how many enjoy clothes freedom in their back yard just as I do. Wouldn't if be great if there could be a sufficiently secure way to self-identify on TN or similar forum - of nudist by location down to the neighborhood granularity. Other than that... I have a decent idea as to the "nudist look", but not with such confidence that I make the inquiry in a straight forward fashion.

Aren't they two separate things? I believe that everyone should be more tolerant, be they nudist or textile. Worrying about what other people think takes up far too much of many people's life. That is true about how people look, what they do, what they eat, and a million other things.
If more people would live and let live the world would be a much happier - and safer - place to live. There would also probably be many more nudists in the world.
People actually feel offended because they have to look at *fat* people, especially if that *fat* person is wearing little or no clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is totally different to worrying about one's own weight and size for health reason. I know that I am 2st heavier than I should be, and really want to do something about it. However, that is purely for my own good health and nothing to do with how other people view me
There truly is no nudist look. If you look at any of our friends, while clothed, you'd surely think that they were conservative prudes ... even my wife! I've seen it and I know many of you have seen it; young women barely dressed with lots of skin showing but to be naked and be naked in front of others ... NEVER! All the skimpy bathing suits on the beach barely covering anything except for nipples and vaginal opening ... but take it off and be naked ... NEVER!
I/we love to people watch but know this ... as you are watching others ... people are also watching YOU! ;-)
