Heaven - well up on the roof.
Return to DiscussionsLast night about 8pm it was all hot and sticky in the house (33C). I had just finished cleaning up after some plant repotting work on our roof terrace.
The temp outside felt cooler than that inside the house, so I ventured up onto the actual roof (flat concrete) and rested on the cement bench seat we have up there beside the water tank and solar hot water system.
It started to spit rian so I layed down and enjoyed the feeling of the raindrops falling occasionally then more steadily all over mybody.This coupled with the small puffs of cool breeze felt so relaxing I almost fell asleep.
Truly a refreshing evening compared to the hot sticky nights we have been getting here for too long.
This reminds me of an experience I had in Australia once. It was not on a roof but on a beach. I was on a yacht cruising the Barrier Reef and using salt water to wash. After not very long my skin felt all crusty from the salt and not particularly pleasant. One day we swam onto a small island and while there a storm blew through and it pelted down with rain. I was walking on an isolated bit of beach so I stripped off and let the rain water shower me. It was a wonderful experience. Of course it didn't last long as the only way back to the yacht was to swim back through the salty sea.
Same conditions occurred agin a couple of nights ago, so i again enjoyed laying out in the warm drizzle. Hope I can talk the wife
into joining me one night.
Back home again after spending a few nights at the MiL's. I was rather miffed ad they now have a new man servant (male housemaid) so my naked jaunts there have been severely curtailed over there now.
Hopefully we get another shower tonight and I can wander up on our own roof and enjoy it.
The title reminds me my young age days.
I was 18 years old at that time.
In the summer I usually sleep on terrace of my building. (With my neighbour so there is no chance to sleep nude on roof)
When the pre monsoon showers came at midnight all the neighbours go to there home but I remain on terrace. After 10 to 15 minutes no one is on roof so I undress myself and walk in the rain totally nude.
It was a very nice experience to wet nude in the rain within open sky
Yep Saturday night 9pm, pitter patter down it came, but the drops were so sparse you could feel the cold stab as the drop hit but due to the beautiful cool breeze and my warm body the water virtually dried immediately after impact.

Oh my, I know exactly what you mean. We have been sitting on our back patio on a warm summer's night when a light rain would begin to fall. We moved our lounge chairs out a bit into the lawn and enjoyed the wonderful soothing drops falling on us for a few minutes. A great time to be naked at home and it didn't cost us anything.
