Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -

For people who like to be naked in the house...

Heat wave hits the UK!

Return to Discussions

We're finally getting some sun in the land of rain! how anyone could wear clothes on days like these is beyond me, I've enjoyed my day very naturally in the house and although I have a very open back garden, the wind breaks will be going up tomorrow so I can get some privacy and lose those tan lines :) anyone else in the UK enjoying this brief respite from crappy weather?

RE: Heat wave hits the UK!

I am so jealous, for having time to enjoy the weather - naked or not. I'm especially jealous of those of you near a nudist beach.
On Saturday I was a driver on steam trains which meant multiple layers of clothing.
Monday, yesterday and today I'm at work which means shirt, tie, trousers, shoes and socks. Yesterday I was stuck in an office with large windows and no air con. (I did take my tie off)
On the plus side, we did have all day Sunday in our garden, with it's private areas where we can enjoy no tan lines. Each evening I've been driving home bottomless and as soon as I get home, I join Mar in our garden.
I suppose I should think myself lucky. Many people can't even do that.
Mar has been the luckiest. Yesterday was so hot that she had to sit in the shade most of the day. Even then it was hot, but she had a lovely cool breeze which kept her comfortable.
(I have asked to work from home, but so far no luck LOL )

Gosh! 22C-24C is a heat wave! No wonder we were so cold when last in the UK. Come over to the southern US where a pleasant day is not more than 35C and the hot ones go to 43C.

For some reason, when it gets hot in the UK it's a lot worse than similar or higher temps on Mediterranean.
Also, because these temps are so infrequency - and often so sudden - that our infrastructure isn't set up for it. For example, Air Con is much less common in the UK, than in Europe or in the US.

Saw a few splashes of rain on my windscreen earlier but they
didn't last.

Had a few splashes of rain late yesterday evening. So far in July I have only recorded 2 mm of rain.
