Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -

For people who like to be naked in the house...

Ok just want some opinions and thoughts here. Not trying to make anyone angry or start a virtual war lol. If we are all TRUE Nudists why do we need to have a sexual preference in our profile? I mean should that matter if this isn't a dating site? I have only been on here a few months now and some of the friend requests I get, well I check out the profile first and a lot of the photos posted raise questions about what that person is after, very almost erotic poses. I am trying to show my wife that nudity isn't always sexual and showing her this site hasn't helped my cause lol. I have learned very quickly not to just friend just anyone lol.

RE: True Nudists?

you don't need to answer every item on your profile - I'm not here for dating / sex so have put not applicable for my sexual orientation to make that clear & that I'm happy to chat with anyoneyep blank profiles seem maybe dodgy but maybe are just people who are wary of being identified due to work etc [but if someone is on here looking does that matter?]you only have to look at some of the group names to see some are here for sexual fantasies

RE: True Nudists?

Ultimately the collecting of information like sexual orientation and income, occupation etc is all part of the data collection carried out by many websites, especially community/social media ones. I'm her because I'm a nudist, one that likes to socialise and make contact with other nudists. True nudists don't usually care about labels - occupation, education etc. Websites often will though, especially free ones which need to pay server costs etc, information provided on our profiles can be sold on elsewhere.

It shouldn't be, and you can work around it but that is the design plan and business idea of the people who made it. Heck being a paid member gets no benefits, except seeing more pictures, pointless.

I have made good friends (ones I go on holiday with) through TN. A full profile is good to know something about who you are talking to. And I'm a paid life member - someone has to cover the costs of running the site. Otherwise we would be plagued by adverts.

RE: True Nudists?

I am trying to show my wife that nudity isn't always sexual and showing her this site hasn't helped my cause lol. I have learned very quickly not to just friend just anyone lol.I joined this site for the same reason I do most other things on-line. To learn and the join in. I am one of those people that have been referred to in this thread. I am a married man who's wife neither joins me naked, nor does she want to join in on the web site in any way. However, I can guarantee that she does exist - and more importantly is happy with my nudity and my being on here.
One of the reasons for joining TN was to prove to her that I was not weird, or unusual, or needed psychiatric treatment :-)
However, I soon realised that there are a lot of things on here that would not help my cause - such things as one bloke posting about stripping naked on the back of a bus and jerking off.
Personally I don't see any problem with people using TN as a dating site. As has been said, nudists are people too and many of them are single and don't want to be. My wife loves watching dating programs on telly so even she wouldn't have a problem with that. Swinging is totally different though and (a) should be kept off here and (b) would seriously hinder the progress we're making.

RE: True Nudists?

Yes traditional nudists ( I call them Naturists) try to pretend that nudists do not have any sex. OK it is to overcome the misguided view amongst the wider population confusing nudity with sex or porn. But nudists are like everyone else. We enjoy sex too. We do it dicreatly. We know the difference between nudity and sex. But that does not stop us talking about it.

Just my observation, experience and opinion. ;-)
We consider ourselves traditional nudists/naturists and from all I've read, from all I've heard at the beaches, the clubs and resorts ... NO nudist has ever said "nudists do not have any sex." That's not true!
Maybe some of these traditional nudists/naturists haven't explained themselves clear enough or ... there's a reading comprehension issue with some of those disputing what they are saying or typing but in every case, traditional nudists/naturist simply say ... nudism isn't about sex. There's a difference; nudism is not about sex. Nudists don't have sex. It's not that hard to comprehend and it shouldn't be that hard to separate the two but too many want to mix it all up so they can talk about it ... maybe because they aren't having any! ... of either!!! ;-)

RE: True Nudists?

Expecting to find, quote-unquote, true nudists..........aka, pure nudists..........who supposedly have nointerest in mixing sexual thoughts while nude and communicatingwith other nudes............is like (foolishly) expecting purity inmany other human activities or interests. Such protestations areakin to trying to force the proverbial square peg into that roundhole..............basic biology says that nudity and sex do in factmix.......whether anyone wants to try and deny it with new andimproved mind games to avert what should be acknowledged as theplain truth.
Since getting naked is usually the first part of having sex, people
of every background overwhelmingly associate nudity with sex. Last
I heard, sex is still pretty popular. That's not expected to
change, and you can't have sex without nudity (full or at least
partial).

Conversely though, you can still be nude without having sex. The Olympics in
ancient Greece demonstrated this. Sometime early in the last
century, health nuts in Germany got the idea that exercising nude,
as well as exposing the body to the beneficial effects of fresh air
and sunshine, would maintain good health, and the FKK movement was
born. In the decades since, we who call ourselves nudists have
gotten very creative in coming up with things that can be enjoyed
clothes-free, and that's just about anything you can do with
clothes on.

Regarding what happens on this site, a troll is a troll is a troll.
Some have a natural curiosity about viewing naked photos here and,
at the same time, get an education as to just what it is that makes
us nudists tick. We're all Ambassadors for the nudist way of life, and
by being open about who we are and our lifestyle does a lot to
advance our cause.
