Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -

For people who like to be naked in the house...

Ok just want some opinions and thoughts here. Not trying to make anyone angry or start a virtual war lol. If we are all TRUE Nudists why do we need to have a sexual preference in our profile? I mean should that matter if this isn't a dating site? I have only been on here a few months now and some of the friend requests I get, well I check out the profile first and a lot of the photos posted raise questions about what that person is after, very almost erotic poses. I am trying to show my wife that nudity isn't always sexual and showing her this site hasn't helped my cause lol. I have learned very quickly not to just friend just anyone lol.

I would be very hesitant in showing my wife this site because of some of the dating aspects I've already seen being a member for less than a week.
While having that on people's profiles does help get a fuller picture of who it is you're speaking to, it does "label" us within a forum (nudism in general) that one of it's best attributes is that we're stripped down to be all the same or at least viewed to be the same without our costumes on. I know I'm not saying this right. Let me try again:
It's ironic that we label ourselves by our sexuality on a site that is not meant to be for dating, and the intention of the site and our common hobby, is to strip away those labels.
My first conversation on this site was with a friendly gay individual that grew up in my area. I didn't feel like I was being hit on, or anything. If the conversation had turned sexual in any way, I would have shut it down. That's what I would expect from anyone on this site. Maybe if it is removed, those that wanted to share it could within the body of their profile.
However, until it is changed, I will likely adopt your strategy with accepting friend requests.

RE: True Nudists?

Sorry to inform you but there is an aspect to this site for dating right in the form to fill out for your profile, the ''why here'' part, dating, friends, and two other categories I cannot recall right now. I never clicked dating yet on my profile it says that's why I am here. I am happily married and do not want to change my relationship. I am only here to communicate with other nudists, to exchange adventures, challenges we encounter as nudists etc. As for meeting other nudists, other than in virtual reality I have not met another professed nudist. I am not interested in Skyping with another nudist simply because I don't know any personally. I imagine there are from time to time many people here who are not who they say they are. Recently I have had a number of friend requests from young women who are only here for dating. I delete those requests after checking their profile out, there is usually no personal information on their page. Anyone else who request to friend me I like wise check out their profile. No pics or and no information about them I also delete. Usually I trust certified members and paying members. I would be a paying member except I cannot afford to being on a small pension. Certified is what I am. Ha, ha.

Conversely, what is the problem with disclosing your sexual orientation? TN's don't judge others by this but why not know? Specially with so many fake profiles and spam accounts, fully filled out profiles can become a reliable parameter when it comes to accepting or not FR's.

I pretty much agree. Others bring up good points too. I do feel (and know) the standards here have changed the last year or so, and not so much for the better. I get friend requests from young females that just joined and have incomplete or non-existent profiles. I'm pretty well assured at this point in my life, I'm not going to be getting a lot of requests like that I never even would have gotten in my younger years. Photos are cruder in nature, it used to be photos prominently featuring genitals would not get approved. Half the photos are open legged photos it seems. And worst of all to me, is the preponderance of crude comments to photos that are posted. Mostly this applies to the females that share photos. It is the online equivalent of catcalls and sexually oriented comments. I always went by the credo that if you wouldn't say something to someone's face, don't say it about their photos etc. I'm no prude, but things have changed. I've nearly left the site a few times, but I paid a life membership and can't see wasting that on principle. Time will tell. Rant over, but yeah you have a point.

RE: True Nudists?

This site is called Tue Nudists, not True Naturists. Just like everyone else nudists enjoy sex. We just do it in private (like most other people) and we don't particularly talk about it here. Yes non-sexual nudity is wonderful and we know the distinction between nudity and sex. But sex is still part of our lives and we should recognise that - albeit as something separate from nudity. I have come across some discussions which do not suit any TN forum. The sister True Swingers website (Probably better called Sexy Nudists) was set up for that purpose.

RE: True Nudists?

Unfortunately, there's a large percentage of folks here, especially among single/married guys listing themselves as 'home nudists' enjoying nudism alone who, for whatever reason, have never visited a nude resort or social situation, whose interest is weinie waving at folks. While they like being naked with others, their intentions may notbealong the lines of other social nudists. If you want nude recreation, without 'distractions',and are in the US, you should be looking at American Association of Nude Recreation membership and view the offerings of sanctioned resorts and groups.

LOL. Ya, where would be a better place to find to actually
discuss issues or share experiences without getting hit on, or hit
up for nude pics of my wife? AANR have a forum board or
anything? Are things more "civil" there or anywhere else?
I just read "the freedom of naturism" (it was free on kindle) and it was ok... just short. it did go into the many different types of nudists. I thought that helped me to put my head around where I am on the "spectrum of nudism".

RE: True Nudists?

i dont see that having your sexual orientation on your profile should be a major problem, i have more of a problem with blank profiles! i think be able to have a blank profiles makes it easier for those here from wrong reasons!if we are TRUE NUDISTS, why do some many people block access to profiles/photos? is it because of people who have blank profiles making a pest of themselves???
