forget you are naked
Return to DiscussionsLiving nude, all the time, certainly has it's privileges and benefits but it can also put you in some compromising situations. We are naked as close to 24/7/365 as possible; if we are home alone or with nudist friends, we're naked. The backyard is an extension of the inside of our home. If we're back there, we naked. The front yard isa different story. We live in a housing tract and it's not private but ... we have been nude out front, on our porch, late at night in the summer and can not be seen clearly enough that we "have" to be clothed or covered.
That being said ... our front yard is not private enough for nude use and on occasion, I have been working on something and need to ask my wife a question and she's on the porch watering plants. I've gone to the door and just opened it to ask her a question and as I open the door I remember ... "ah, I'm naked. I need to ensure no one is walking by." Which has happened but they either didn't see me or care. It was only for a second. It's probably happen more when the garage door is opened than the front door. If I'm working on my classic car and going back and forth between the garage and work shed (in the backyard), I can be concentrating on what I'm doing and start for the garden hose on the porch to wash my hands when I stop and retreat and grab a pair of shorts sitting on the hood of the car! :D
Just a few weeks back I was cooking and had spilled the
juices from a ham I was making pea soup with. I grabbed paper towels kept from
running onto the floor. I put everything into a plastic bag and it started
leaking a little. I quickly put a paper towel under the bag and opened the door
to the garage and started down the steps and there was a women standing at the
end of my garage. She was at first startled but just stood there and looked at
me and I was trying to cover up with the bag. Without missing a beat she asked
if the dog she was holding was my dog. I told her I do not have a dog and do
not know who owns it. She said ok thanks turned and started down the drive way.
I thought wow that was strange and I was the nude one.
