For people who like to be naked in the house...

Nudist : Religious, Spiritual or Atheists

Return to Discussions

Hello fellow Naturalists.
I am a born Hindu Indian, but an atheist since a long time. As far as I know of all the religion, nudity is a taboo with most of them. If you're a nudist, I take it that you are somewhat disagreeing with what is written in our religious books.
What most of you consider yourself as? Religions, Spiritual or Atheist?

RE: Nudist : Religious, Spiritual or Atheists

On my naturist camping webiste I go into depth on this topic, but in a nutshell, if you get an electronic version of the Bible an do a word search on naked, nakedness, nude, bare, stripped, etc., AND read each reference IN CONTEXT (in other words, read what comes before and after), and if you do this with no pre-conceived ideas on the subject, you will see that the Bible in no way condemns nakedness. It does recognize that many people find nakedness shameful, but it does not say we should find it shameful.
Read in context, the one verse normally used to teach anti-nakedness is actually telling us not to OVERDRESS in church, but to clothe ourselves in good works!
Isley Boone was the founder of the American Sunbathing Association (later became AANR). He was also a Baptist Minister.
'Nuff said.
