Naked At Home - 2014 / 2024 -
For people who like to be naked in the house...
when did u first discover you were a nudist
Return to DiscussionsFor me, I was 15 in the mid 80's went to a relatives hobby farm where there was a pond that had a dock built for it. One hot early summer day I decided to go for a skinny dip, then sat on the dock to dry in the sun since I didn't bring a towel. Best day of my life, but then repressed it until 11 years ago.
I was 14 when I remember enjoying sleeping in the nude. Once I started it became an obsession to where I would toss and turn if I was not completely naked. If I was at someone's house, or later on when I was in the Navy and in close quarters, I would slip my underwear off under the covers to sleep. I was the first one home after school so I would finish my homework and chores naked before the others got home. It was nothing sexual, I just felt great being nude. So many people don't understand this but if they gave it a try a lot of them would be hooked I am sure.
Not sure if I can but a date on it. I always preferred to be naked even as a child. Started sleeping naked in college when my roommate said that he began sleeping naked. Been sleeping naked for more almost forty years. Always been naked at home, when possible. I guess my true realization was my first visit to a nudist venue. That sealed it for me. Bought a camper and now I spend every summer with my naked friends at our camp.
I didn't discover I was a nudist until about three or four years ago but had been going naked for much longer than that. I have slept naked for about 10 years prior to that. When I met my gf she had been somewhat of a home nudist and is now interested in possibly venturing out. We are slowly getting our kids adjusted to it and hope they embrace it as a healthy part of their lives also. They have not been raised as nudists so we are aware they may not come along with the change.
I was 7 also. My older sis wanted to compare differences in genders. We both got naked and I have been that way ever since.
That isn't nudism. Haven't we all played show me yours and I'll show you mine (or doctors and nurses) as children? I've been getting naked in all sorts of ways all my life. But I didn't know I was a nudist until I joined TN a few years ago.
My nudist life is somewhat like "committed nudist's". I also began
at age 14. I'd just started HS and arrangements were made within
the household to give me my own room! Once that happened, I was
sleeping naked all the time and spending as much time alone in my
room and being naked. Before that, I was sharing a room with 4
other sibs and I chose the top bunk so I could slip outta my
underwear at night. Once I got my own room, I ditched the underwear
completely and began doing my own laundry so my mother wouldn't
notice there wasn't any of my underwear in the dirty clothes.
I, too, joined the Navy and early in boot camp, I was caught naked
in the middle of the night going to the head. The guy standing
watch told a bunch of guys in the company and the teasing began. It
stopped quickly when the biggest guy in the company, and my closest
friend, put a stop to all that with the fact that he too slept
naked. After he confessed I realized what all that bouncing around
in the top bunk was about.
Once onboard ship, I watched some of the other guys and found that
I really didn't need to hide the fact that I slept naked.
Some of the others slept naked and one guy that became a good
friend, asked if I was a nudist and not really understanding what a
nudist was, he showed me some magazines from home and that's when I
discovered that, Yes, I was a nudist! My GF/Wife was aware of my
nude preference and that I didn't wear underwear and we talked
about it quite a bit. She was afraid to try it very much with me
because she thought it would lead to sex ... which it probably
would have. But she did get naked with me on occasion while in HS
and more often after we graduated and I came home on leave.
We got married and just fell right into nudism. We live naked
whenever I was home for the weekend or on leave. While I was gone,
she'd revert to wearing a t shirt to bed. After I was discharged,
we lived naked all the time and began raising our girls as nudists.
Though the girls stopped being naked with us, we continued and have
lived this way for over 43 years and been social nudists for over
23 years! :-)
I can remember questioning about being nude but due to hang ups about it (probably from some childhood abuse), I never went through with it. Throughout life I would be nude in private once in a while. When I turned 55 I said screw it and I'm full time nudist. It's hard though because it is illegal in my state and I don't want to go to jail and maybe lose my job.
I first discovered I was a nudist in Oct 1976, 40 years ago. Hubby and I were often nude at home and when we took a vacation in Florida, hubby really wanted to visit a nude resort. I agreed to 'try it'. Within 15 minutes of being nude in a social setting, I became a nudist for life.
When I was a team I would sit by the river naked
Sometimes I would ride bike naked in the woods
It felt great
So I then went to a pine section of the forest
and strip. I would just sit there for hours enjoying myself.
After I left home I didn't have the forest anymore
so then I started to wait till about 3. Or 4 am
And sit on my balkenandy nude
To this day every chance I get I drop my clothes
About three years ago I stopped wearing
Underwear. I like the freedom.
I was 20 years old and went to a nude beach for the first time. This was in Florida. I realized that I was a nudist when I felt my stress and social roles slip away while at that beach. It wasn't what I had expected.
