For people who like to be naked in the house...
Nude in a block of small Flats
Return to DiscussionsHi everyone.
I live on my own in a smallblock of 12 flats. I live on the ground floor and was wondering about peoples thoughts on doing everyday things like collecting the post and putting out the rubbish nude. I do when I'm in collect the post nude as the mailboxes are by the entrance and the other day I did put the rubbish out in the shared bins out in the street. This did mean going outside into my estate but it was brief and at night.I was just wondering about other peoples thoughts on this topic and has does anyone else do the same
We are back in Vietnam and our house is just one of many in a terrace format (built touching side by side). We also back on to the next street house with a 4 metre air gap on the upper floors so its a case of close the shades or blinds, and keep a pair of shorts on the roof terrace door and ground floor just in case neighbours are out on the roof terrace the same time or we have someone ring the door bell, other than that we are sans 24/7 while home.
I finally bumped into my neighbour about a couple of weeks ago. He never said a word to me. I did have a smile on my face ready to say hello but he didn't look like he wanted to speak to me. So looks like we won't be talking for now. I've been outside putting the bins out since. I hope he can see me for what I am and that is a nudist, and not what he thinks I am !
Been a while and I''m still emptying the bins in the nude. I do see my neighbour and he still is not talking to me. But hey I've tried to say hi but no response. I went out this morning as I felt like some air and emptied the bins but a lady from up the estate was walking down. She looked a bit surprised and was staring a bit. Maybe she was surprised ! Also a car was coming the other way but I was at my flat main door so I went in. Wish the UK has a more liberal approach to things and weren't so stuck up !!
In the UK the there's no law against being nude outside however if people take offence they can report it. Now seeing I was just putting out the bins I have nothing to worry about. I do understand some people may be offended but I'm a nudist so there is no offence meant, if only it was easy to explain to those who don't understand.

Please heed my warning here.. you DO have something to worry about unfortunately as if you do offend someone with your nudity and at the time you were not taking adequate precautions (I.e clothes) to
avoid offence, you are basically, in the eyes of the law, a flasher
and as such constitutes a public indecency/outraging public decency
offence. Believe me, you will be reported at some point if you
continue and as unfortunate as it may be for a number of reasons,
you will be criminalised just like that naked rambler guy has
proven over the large portion of his life.
The naked rambler wasn't really just arrested for being naked. He was arrested for being naked and seeking attention / causing a disturbance. Similarly, the nudist who repeated went walking in the Scotish Highlands.
Context and intention do play a big part. If you can prove that you did everything possible to prevent being seen, and to prevent people being upset, you're pretty safe legally in the UK. Of course, each case is different, and if it goes to court, it depends very much on the presiding judge
I here what you're saying and totally understand that someone could be offended and call the police. It would be down to me prove I meant no offence and just going about a daily chore. It's a shame the law is this way as it makes us nudist have to prove we are just living our lives our own way.
Well since then I've been out a few times and dropped the rubbish out. However about a month ago I went out to drop the rubbish out and as I was approaching the bins I saw a woman coming towards me. By the time I had dumped my rubbish she had past the bins but was very surprised to see me and started walking a bit faster. I did want to explain my situation but that may have made her feel a bit wary of me. I never ever meant for her to feel worried but as we all know it's society and some peoples interpretation of what they think being nude is that makes doing every day thinks nude so difficult.
