Return to DiscussionsThis past Saturday my wife and I just purchased a brand new Hyundai Tucson. It has all kinds of fancy bells and whistles in it including A/C vented seating. I was so excited to test it out nude that I did just that on the drive home from the dealership. Windows down and panoramic sunroof open. What an awesome feature. I'll be driving that car in the nude quite a bit from now on.
I was wonderfully surprised one evening when my wife picked me up from work as usual but this time was naked, love her :)

I had a stupid O'Clock start on Saturday morning, which I wasn't too keen on, but it did give me a chance for a rare naked drive, which made things a whole lot better :-)
I drive naked on almost any long journey. There are three situations where you are less likely to be caught. Two are in the rain or at night. In either case they can't easily see into your car. The third is in hot weather when it isn't uncommon to drive topless. But remember that pedestrians, lorry drivers and coach/bus passengers can see down into your car. I've had some interesting reactions. BTW I've taken to traveling without any clothes in the caror with them out of reach in the boot (trunk). So no way to cover up.
Previously I have only driven up to 10 miles naked before.
This last weekend I chose to drive home naked for 60 miles from the nudist resort, slept naked, then hopped in the car first thing in the morning to return to the resort, all naked.
Would have stayed a the resort overnight, but they were fully booked. That's my excuse for driving naked anyhow :-)
It seems to me that this is the wrong group for this discussion, because if you are driving in the nude, then you are not Naked At Home any more. You are out on the roadway somewhere. You might start out and/or end up Naked At Home, but the in between time is not at home.
There is at least one group dedicated to driving nude, but I don't see any problem with including this topic. All of my nude / bottomless drives either start off or end in my garage.

I agree about night time driving. If I look down and I can't even tell that I'm naked, how will anyone else? You just have to be careful with street lights, and junction CCTV.
Hot weather also makes sense, and I have driven home naked because I thought exactly the same thing.
As for driving in the rain I haven't tried that yet, but if it was warm too, I'd be too tempted to get out and walk in the rain.
So if you have nothing to cover yourself up with, what would happen if you stopped beside a school bus?

I have found other than choosing one lane over another, there is nothing you can do short of covering up, perish the thought!
Last night I stripped naked in the parking lot of the pharmacy to drive home. I know the first red light I come to is a red light camera light with a lot of bright lighting, but what the hell. Even if the person next to you sees your bare shoulders they are not well placed to see much else, except.....
... last night I was in the leftmost lane turning left at that red light. A tractor trailer was turning right into the road I was coming out of, because the space was tight the tractor inched its way around the bend very slowly, the cab towered over my car and the driver had the perfect vantage point to see me in all my glory. However as is often the case, the driver either didn't care or was so busy executing the maneuver he/she didn't notice.
We irrationally fear someone can see more than they really can, or that they pay attention in the first pace. These fears are groundless 99/100.
We have driven home nude from our nudist retreat so many times now that we've lost track lol. Through several towns along the way - in broad daylight - at least 10-12 stoplights. Every so often someone will pull up beside us and take a stare, but for the most part, no one sees or seems to care. We have a pickup that rides fairly high so that probably explains why - but other truck drivers don't seem to notice much either lol. Posted a pic of Anita in our truck for the group :)
We took a road trip from our home in Minnesota out to Montana. 2500 miles total. I was naked about 1800 miles of it. My wife won't usually go naked in the car, but as soon as we left home, she asked why I still had clothes on. So, off they came. I keep shorts and a t-shirt handy for when we stop for gas. I was covering up when we passed a large truck, because I assumed they might be able to see me. My wife looked at me like I was crazy. She said, "Why are you covering up, they don't know us, who cares?"
A friend was driving home from the nudist park, about a 5 hour drive. Some trucker saw him and called the cops. They stopped him and charged him with mischief. Long story short he got off the charge but had to pay his lawyer. Now he wears an athletic supporter when driving to or from the park.
