Male Bonding2

For those who like to explore the concept and dynamics of male bonding. Men are socialized in different ways in different societies, and so many men would like to have close male friendships, yet after spending time establishing a career, primary relationship and live in general, find themselves without close male friends. Many of us want male friends with whom we can share openly without...

Any Idea why Straight Men find Nudity Repulsive?

Return to Discussions

To me it is extremely odd. Unless the person is way out of shape or something that looks very bad, I don't understand why so many men are repulsed by male nudity. On the other hand, some people I guess could simply be repulsed by the human body. I don't know. Also are there any straight men who appreciate the beauty of male nudity? There is a nice picture for this group. It is quite attractive. I don't find it sexually attractive. I just like it. I live in a society where men claim they can't tell (as if they are blind) if a person of the same gender is attractive or not. I mean men here. Females comment on each other's beauty all the time. But going beyond that, being nudists (If you've ever spent a lot of time nude and you are straight) do you "notice," "appreciate," find "attractive," or however you would describe it--the male form? Someone had to pick the picture for this discussion group. I don't assume it had to be a gay person. If straight, that picture appealed to that person for some particular reason.Since I'm not completely straight, I find this really hard to understand the various responses people give on the topic. My feelings are obviously different.Does anyone have anything to share about this? It would be helpful to discuss it. I understand that this group being a bunch of nudists are sometimes in the same boat in that they accept nudity and wonder why people don't feel more comfortable. Either way, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

i also think it depends on the region your from too.i'm from the west coast where its not a big deal(usually) but i had a co worker from the NYC officefly in a few years ago.. and i told him to save his per diemfor the hotel as pocket money and stay with me.. we went out drinkin and he fell asleep first,on the inflata-bed in my room.. when i woke uphe was already up.. i went in to grab my coffee in the kitchenwhere he was.. stark bare assed naked.. and was hitting the showerwhen he was like " uh gross.. put that thing away.. .. dude i can seeyour dick" LMFAO yeah that was the reaction he had. He was a guy that went to the gym all the time, too, so itdidn't occur to me he'd have hang ups about a lockerroom envireomentin my mancave. i lost contact with him soon after just bc of that reaction.. no one *ever*wants to hear that their nudity ( especially in their own home)is repulsive to them
