Male Bonding2
For those who like to explore the concept and dynamics of male bonding. Men are socialized in different ways in different societies, and so many men would like to have close male friendships, yet after spending time establishing a career, primary relationship and live in general, find themselves without close male friends. Many of us want male friends with whom we can share openly without...
Knowing your friends' Bodies - A Type of Male Bonding?
Return to DiscussionsSo... Me and a couple of friends were talkin over beers the other day.and as you know.. some of guys.. need to get a little intoxicated to open up to each other ( or hang out naked of course ). So we're a littlebuzzed up over a few ales, and one of my buddies made a comment about how we've seen each other naked so much that we know each other's dicks better than our girlfriends and wives. I guess one of the wives was suprised that one of my buddies has a mole on the underside of his penis she neverknew about ....but all of us did.. i think we named it once..when we were drunk.Of course, i think it bothered her, as she made an off-hand comment about it being "a little gay" that we are that close. What do you guys think of this?Have you ever known a friend's body better than his mate.does this bond you closer? Whats your opinion over all?
Yep! I've been able to explore a buddy's body in a non-sexual way, so it was actually more thorough than being sexual with my wife. In sex, there's a goal, so you're either rushed or distracted. When it was non-sexual, I was able to be more present and explore.
With "R" I once hugged him, and then comfortably took his left wrist and held it up high with my left hand while I examined his pit hair with my right hand (because I noticed the texture of the hair was very different from my own pit hair). He ended up doing the same to me. I commented, "I've never done this with a friend before," and he agreed that he hadn't, either.
And a couple times with "C," he was comfortable with me checking out his foreskin (he has amazing overhang like I've never seen before--I'm cut and have quite a fascination with foreskin). It was cool that we could carry on a conversation while I felt the texture of his FS, retracted it, and just kind of fiddled with it in my fascination. He was very open and casual about it. I wish I was still in touch with him.
I do regular massage-exchanges with a few of my friends. Since it is always full body and fully naked - both giver and receiver - we have plenty of opportunity to see and touch every squaremillimetre of each others bodies. We donot exactly do comparativeanalysis - but we knowthe secrets of each others bodies pretty well.

Why here in America that females can get together and do almost anything and just be looked at as being a normal for females. But males get together and only do half of what females do and that is viewed as "little gay." I don't like the term at all and don't like the double standard. Why is it wrong to hang out with male friends while naked? I have been to a Korean spa/bathhouse with several friends and TN friends and we all enjoy it very much. We all are of different races, nationalities and sexual orientation. Some say why can't we all get along but when we do get along rather well being like all caring naked brothers for one another it is viewed as wrong. Something is sick about this picture and it needs to change.
What do my dear brothers think about this?
Excellent to have male friends that can be comfortable nude together in a non sexual clinical way.We understand our bodies and together can see touch andexplore what we can't see alone. Its like asking yourparents about sex.. With other guys we can just be more comfortable and relate to a common feeling and experience. I think it is an excellent bonding experience and not really gay at all. Steve
I couldn't agree more, Billybare! While it's annoying, I think those of us who are confident and comfortable in who we are just ignore those who are not and who have to sexualize everything. I've long hated that double standard and expectation, and most men are starved for not only touch, but male energy. I'm sick of the American society the way it is frowning upon and judging males differently. There are so very few all male environments any more. I think it is up to us to create those and relish in them!!
So many great comments, here.
BillybareUSA, your first comment, especially, struck a chord with my thoughts.
And Tincal, your experiences so natural--appreciate you opening up and sharing them here.
Thanks, TheWolverine, for the thread. Fantastic topic.
My input? I don't have real life close 'buddies' that I can say I have experienced this with. I have had a couple of nudist buds, however, that after the initial meeting, allowed me to check them out, up close, on a somewhat clinical level (like Tincal). It was awesome.
A wonderful thing when together with friends and checking out each others bodies, nothing necessarily sexual about it, but yes if we go a little further at mutual consent.....we keep talking while we enjoy our masculine energies flowing. This is a great way of bonding......something I will always enjoy.
