Return to DiscussionsMy health club has gang showers for 12 guys. I have a problem when I wash my genitals I get an erection; even at home.Well, it happened at the club. I had nothing with which to cover itso I faced the shower wall. The guy next to me did a side glance and got his eye full. He was the next erection. Before I knew it about five or six were sporting one. The interesting part is that none of them were embarrassed or tried to hide them. That was unbelievable to me. I guess the were exhibitionists or the sight oferections was exciting to them.Anybody had the same experience or can offer an explanation?
Something similar happened to me at the gym on my last base.. My whole office worked out together and some of us would shower in the communal together afterwards. It wasn't just us in there but other offices were doing the same thing. You'd see one guy sporting wood and then everyone would be shortly after. I knew these guys from my office were straight but sometimes it's more relaxing to not fight nature and just let it happen. I've even had notes stuck in my locker that said, "Thanks for sharing your meat. Call me xxx-xxx-xxxx."
Been awhile since I've been in a gang shower. The gyms near me all converted to stalls.
Back when they were open, I don't remember seeing erections in the showers, for the most part. Maybe the guys just turned the water colder or something.
There was one exception and it stands out. One day, there were these two hung guys next to each other, obviously trying to make the other get hard. Turns out they both lost (or won) and had huge boners. My guess is they got a room after. That was many years ago though.

since we are discussing this. I have a question for the group. We all have noticed that communal showers are becomming a thing of the past. so with that in mind, I would to gather information about Gyms where communal or open showers are still available. For example, every YMCA I have been too has had open showers and some even had seperate steamrooms for each sex.Mountainside Fitness has seperate steamrooms but private showers. 24 hour fitness has no private steamrooms but has semi communal showers where its not open but from the entrance. I think this can sprrad awareness and we can support gyms that provide bonding time in the showers :)
I guess I have to say this reaction is not the most commom here... some times I had erections in comunal showers (here, most of the locker rooms have gang showers) due to the rubbing of soaping and most of men that I found showering next to me were looking at me with a scared face maybe because erections are very intimately related with sexual excitations... I think you are very lucky for have had this reaction such accepted... I wish I could have the chance of support a hard on and dont have an older man trying to have sex with me
Our local YMCA has recently done a complete teardown and rebuild. They were nice enough to keep the separate steam and saunas, but took out the whirlpools. They also converted the gang shower into stalls - but the stalls are so narrow front to back that most people never draw the curtain closed. I guess that was a good compromise :o)
I pick my gyms based on two factors: gang showers and male-only steamroom (and/or sauna). Some of the YMCA's in the St. Louis area are great.
Plenty of hard-ons, plenty of (discreet) action in the showers and steamroom. I have fond memories of quite a few times when it was 5-6 of us hard and stroking. I'm into mature married men (50+) and there are plenty to play with.
