Indoor Winter Group Activities
This is a group for people who live in cooler winter climates where the outdoor resorts, beaches, etc. are not available for several months. Let's talk about what you have done to get nudists together for meaningful and wholesome fun in indoor group settings. Where do you find space? How do you get the word out? Let's share ideas and see if we can make winter more fruitful time for nudist...
House Parties
Return to DiscussionsWe used to go to Jamaica every year to a resort that had a nude section. We would organize the trip and would often invite people (sometimes even co-workers who were really cool and we trusted) who had never had a nude experience. So, we begam to throw a party about a month before the trip at our house to 1) Get everyone going on the trip acquainted (afterall, they were going to be spending a week together) and 2) To get the non-nudist people used to being around nude people so it wouldn't be such a shock when they arrived at the resort. First, we converted our two car garage into a tropical room for the weekend: Grass carpet, patio bar and bar stools, tables and chairs, decorations on the walls, and a portable hot tub (we rented one from a company - now defunct).
I borrowed a projector from work connected it to a laptop and played a game (for prizes) called "Name the Nude Celebrity." I would find pictures of celebrities, put them on a powerpoint, and the guests would have to fill out an answersheet. I usually also had sometime of multimedia presentation that I created (I do multimedia just as a hobby). One year we had one of those companies that usually sells to bachelorette parties come in and do a presentation where they demonstrated (not literally) adult lotions, oils, lingere, and other products.
There was always a lot of music and dancing. Some of the non-nude people became nudists through those parties. Others just got used to being around nudists and relaxed and enjoyed their trip. We continued throwing those parties until we just got too busy and even took time out from jamaica for other destinations.
I like the idea of introducing new people to the nudist experience through a house party. I think a lot of people would enjoy it if they could get over the intitial nervousness. The games seems like a way to make enough fun for the experience to lower anxiety. How do you decide if someone is "safe" since it seems like a bit of a risk to invite them if you guess wrong! Thanks for the ideas. Peace.
There are several kinds of house parties that Minnesota Naturists members have organized:
Game nights: poker, dominoes, wii. Charades seems like a good idea, though I've not known of one actually happening.
Dinners: We have a tradition of a nude Thanksgiving dinner (a week or so in advance of the holiday) and often one around the new year.
Movies: These may or may not have a nudist theme. A couple of weeks ago we watched Mrs Henderson Presents, a mainline Brittish movie that includes full male and female nudity, as a group.
Massage: Group instruction and practice
Photography: It's warmer under the lights!
Discussion groups: pick a topic
I'd love to be part of a nude yoga group and certainly a nude aerobics group should be able to generate enough heat to dispell the chill.
We've been linking slowly with people here and are gradually finding connections. Even in an urban area where there are lots of people, finding the connections is tough, so I would guess it may be even more difficult in a rural area. At the same time, I know there is a party sponsored by the Valley View Club in Wisconsin the weekend of Feb 28 that is an evening party and an overnight at a hotel - they got the whole hotel. You may want to drive down to Madison to connect with some people there. They would be in a more safe and public setting and you could connect after with the ones you connected with the most on a friendship level. Just a thought.
Hi! there,
I'm mike, I've just started a group called- 'Hetero nudist club' for people in Swindon and surrounding area's. It's just a social group for people to feel at-ease with like-minded people, and to discuss all things related to their lifestyle. I'm not charging because there are too many people out there with the sole objective to make money out of nudists, and they don't really care about, promoting nudism for the best of intentions. There will be refreshments also free of charge. I might think about organizing places to go as a group in the future, but for now I just want to get nudists to come together on a regular basis to create a large community of unashamed, and proud to be, nudists. I think you want suggestions for indoor activities; how about the game: TWISTER? I've found that to be quite an eye-opener, and good fun. Dancing to songs such as: the chicken dance, 'in-out-in-out shake it all about' would be very appropriate; that Tantric stuff would be very enticing aswell (could get a bit carried away though).
A few friends and I have been attempting to get a nudist social groupto growin NE Illinois. I have hosted two meetings/parties in my home (Streamwood). Another member hosted a third in his home. The list of nudists who have expressed interest is long. My problem is ingetting nudist couples and single females to move from "interested" to active.
My next move is a "Womens Only Party" that is planned for June 11. I am inviting women who have expressed an interest in nudism. I have gathered some informative literature, including a DVD. The member liaison of aanr has been very helpful in adding pamphlets and printouts. It would be very helpful to have a couple of other nudist women in attendance to answer questions.. Anyone interested?

That's a great idea. I've had them and calledthe "hot tub talks" - Another recommendation would be (after you meet someone in a neutral environment) have an "Introduction to Nudism"gethering with nudist/ntaurist videos and snacks till after a potluck supper. Then have it as c/o
